Barakat, Jack Barakat
“What am I suppose to do?” Amy had been crying for over 15 minutes.
“He’s never going to believe that nothing happened. He’s never going to trust me again” Amy sighed.
“I need to go and see him. This is that whole kiss thing all over again. I’m gonna end up crying and having a panic attack. How am I supposed to gain his trust again? Not like I should’ve lost it in the first place, but this” she said, gesturing between her and Alex.
“This doesn’t look good. I’d be the same if I walked in on Jack sleeping with another girl”
“Amy, you’re over thinking everything. Jack loves you, he knows you wouldn’t cheat on him. And if he does think that, them I’m sorry to say this, but you need to leave him” Alex sighed.
“Go and speak to him. I’ll be here if you need to come back. Hopefully not” he gave her a reassuring smile.
Amy stood outside Jack’s apartment, hell, it was her apartment now. She still wasn’t used to it. She was terrified to open the door. She took a deep breath, turning the key and opening the door. Silence.
“Jack?” she called out. There was no sign of him. She made her way upstairs and heard the shower running. She sat down on the edge of their bed and waited for him. She finally heard the shower shut off and her stomach dropped. She didn’t want to face him. She heard the door unlock and out walked Jack with just a towel wrapped around his waist.
“What do you want?” he asked, glaring at her.
“Jack, listen. Nothing happened between Alex and I. I know what you’re thinking, but honestly, all we did was share a bed” she couldn’t help the tears that fell.
“It hurts that you don’t trust me. I went to Alex because he’s my friend. I needed someone there for me. When I’m upset, the only person I want to be with is you, but you were the reason why I was upset. I love you, Jack. And knowing that you don’t trust me breaks my heart” she sat and sobbed, avoiding eye contact with him. Jack just turned around walked straight back into the bathroom. Was he for real?
“Jack, please don’t ignore me. Say something” she pleaded, standing in front of the bathroom door. He walked out of the bathroom, now fully clothed. He walked straight over to Amy and pulled her into a bone-crushing hug, resting his chin on the top of her head. Amy snuggled into his chest.
“I’m sorry, Amy” he said, pulling away.
“I overacted to a harmless dream and blew up over it. Then when I walked in and seen you cuddled with Alex, it just tipped me over the edge. I just assumed the worst. I should’ve known you wouldn’t do anything. It’s just that Alex is such a manwhore, he doesn’t care who he sleeps with, as long as he gets laid” he pulled her back into another hug.
“God, I’m such an idiot. I’m so sorry”
“You know what this means?” Amy smiled.
“Make up sex” she laughed. He just laughed along with her before pulling her into a kiss.
“I love you” he smiled.
“But before any of that, when were you planning on telling me about tour?”
“I’ve been putting it off” he scratched the back of his neck.
“Because I didn’t want to upset you. I’ve been waiting for the right time to tell you”
“Jack, you’re in a band you big idiot” she laughed.
“I understand that you have to tour. Of course I’m going to miss you like hell, but I knew what I was signing up for when I agreed to be your girlfriend”
“Let’s just make the most of the next week while we can, seeing as you’re away for Valentine’s Day” she pouted.
“Hey, I promise that I will take you out somewhere when we get back” he kissed her gently.
How did Jack get so lucky with Amy? Any other girl would’ve left his ass over the way he acted, but not Amy. She was different. She put up with all his crap. He did truly love her. They had only known each other a little over 3 months and he had fallen hard for this girl. It was in that moment, that Jack knew he was going to marry this girl one day.
