A Love Like War

Today Is The Day.

Jack

It’s been one month since Alex came back into my life, I was currently getting Miracle and myself ready to meet up with him at the park. I was set on making today the day that I asked him to become mine again. I knew we could push back all the past, we have been doing pretty well with it so far. He even moved back in with Miracle and I, to his parents dismay, but he didn’t care.

“Can you tie your shoes on your own or do you want Daddy to do it?” I asked the sweet girl sitting in front of me.

“I can do it!” She said with a big smiled as she reached to her feet and grabbed the strings. I watched for a few minutes as she almost had it down, just failed to put the loops in the right holes.

“Here sweetie, let Daddy show you how to do it again, then you can do it yourself tomorrow, okay?” I asked. She nodded her head and let go of the strings. The first thing I did was untie the knot she formed, and then showed her how to tie it the right way. “Remember, the bunny ear has to go in the hole under it.” I spoke as I tied both the shoes tightly. Once I finished with her shoes, I stood up off the ground and helped her up as well.

“Daddy, on the way to meet Dada, can we play Green Day?” She asked with a beg. I chuckled down at her, she was my daughter.

“Of course we can sweetheart. Do you want me to go upstairs and grab the Dookie album? Since I know it’s the one you like best?”

“Yes!” She jumped up and down. I chuckled and left her to put on her little jacket as I went upstairs and over to my CD’s and grabbed off the top one, which was the Green Day album I came up looking for. I went back downstairs and saw my sweet little girl waiting by the door so patiently.

“You ready to go to the park sweetie?” I asked with a smile. She nodded her head and made grabby hands at me. She was old enough to walk and get herself set up in her car seat, but she loves it when I do it for her. Plus, who am I to say no to that sweet little face?

I picked her up and opened the front door, shutting and locking it behind us. But not before I made sure Boo has food and water before we left, which she did. I walked us to my car and unlocked the backseat, putting my little girl in her seat and making sure she was strapped in perfectly.

I got in the driver’s seat and started up the car, pulling out of the driveway and started our way to the park. “Daddy! Can we get ice cream?” Miracle asked from the backseat.

“Sure sweetheart. Shall we get Dada some as well?” I asked with a smile.

“Yeah!” She said with a giggle. I put on my blinker and started to turn. Right in the middle of the turn, a loud crushing sound made itself known, then I seen nothing but blackness.

Notes

Sorry it's short, and sorry I didn't get it out last night.

Where I live, there was a huge storm that lasted all night and it kept knocking out my internet so I didn't have the chance to upload.
Blame the no chapter grind last night on me. Whoops.
