I can’t believe what just happened. My eyes had to be lying to me right? No they weren’t. And to top everything off, when Alex pushed passed us, he knocked Miracle over, making her hit her head off the wall and scream out. “Come here baby girl. Daddy’s here. Shh. Calm down. Everything’s going to be okay.” I cooed to her as I picked her up and rocked her in my arms as she cried into my shoulder.

It took a good twenty minutes, but Miracle finally cried herself to sleep and I carefully put her in her crib and covered her up. I placed a kiss on her head and walked out of her room, closing the door behind me. I went to my room and sat on my bed. It looked so empty without Alex’s things here, but this is what I wanted right? Even if it hurt inside, I wasn’t going to let this stop me from living my life with my daughter.

I was going to tell him he would be able to get visitation rights with her, but he stormed out before I could. I should text it to him real quick. So that’s what I did, I pulled out my cell phone and pulled up his name, only typing the words ‘You get visitation rights with Miracle. Only if you still count her as your daughter.’ I pressed send and then threw my phone onto my bed, laying my back down on it.

I heard Miracle start crying from her room and I quickly got to my feet and went to her room, not even caring that I just sat back to relax. I opened her door and saw her standing, holding onto the wooden bars that kept her locked in the crib so she wouldn’t roll over and fall out. I walked over to her and picked her up. “Hey baby girl. Shh, it’s okay.” Her crying calmed down quickly as I held her in my arms and she looked me in the eyes. “You want to come sleep with Daddy in his room?” I asked her. She rubbed her eye and nodded her head.

We walked out of her room and across the hall to, what is now only my room, and I laid her down in the middle of it and put the blankets over her as I heard my phone start ringing. “You stay right here. Daddy is going to take this call and then I’ll be right back to lay down with you, okay?” She nodded her head again and I grabbed my phone after giving her a little kiss on the cheek and walking out of the room.

“Hello?” I said as I answered and put the phone to my ear.

“Alex just came to my house and had a meltdown.” Rian’s voice rung thru.

“Ah, but did he tell you what he said to me last night?” I asked.

“No. But was it really worth calling the relationship off?” He questioned me.

“He basically called me a good for nothing dropout, Ri. He told me to grow up and that Miracle and I need to stop holding him back. I think what I did is for the better.”

“Wait, he brought Miracle into this?”

“He did. I told him that we would go out of state with him to go to any college he wanted to go to. He said that he doesn’t want Miracle and I around. Rian, you can’t tell me what I did wasn’t for the better.”

“Alright, I see where you are coming from. I’ll talk to him a bit, see why he even said that shit. I’ll stop by your house later today with Zack and Cass, is that cool?”

“Yeah. Later Ri.” He said a quick goodbye and I hung up the phone. I walked back into my room and saw Miracle sitting up waiting for me. “Here, let me get this princess dress off you then we can take a nap.” She got out from over the covers and let me take the dress off of her, showing her Green Day and black jeans she had on under it. Yeah, I got the outfit for her, and she looks pretty kick ass if I say so myself.

“Okay sweetheart. Let’s lay down and go sleepy-by now.” I laid down on the bed and she got on top of me, laying her whole body on me as her head lay on my chest. I put the blankets over us and held the sweet girl close to me as I placed a kiss on her head.
