Jack

I chuckled at Alex’s question. I found it funny, because I already have somewhat started calling it our house. I was waiting for him to finally ask me, but if he didn’t do it soon, I was just going to ask him. I could tell by the sound of his voice that he was nervous asking me, which made it even more funny.

“Why are you laughing at my question?” He asked me.

“Because babe, you basically live with me already. Why wouldn’t I let you officially move in with me? There is no need to be nervous asking me that. We have a child on the way.” I told him as I smiled over to him. I looked back at the road but not before I saw, out of the corner of my eye, Alex’s huge, loving smile he always has. The smile I fell in love with.

We didn’t say anything else to each other, just sat in a comfortable silence as I drove us. It was not long till I pulled up to Wendy’s.

“Do you want to go through the drivethru? Or go inside?” I asked him.

“Let’s go inside. I don’t feel like waiting till we get home to eat.” He answered. I nodded my head and said okay, then pulled into the parking lot and parked as close as I could get to the door. I turned off the car and we both stepped out. Alex not being able to get out without my help, but I don’t mind. I loved helping him and little Melody every chance I got. I took his hand in mine and we walked inside. “Alright babe. Tell me what you want and I’ll go get it. I don’t want you to be on your feet more than you need to. Plus, you can go find us a comfortable booth to sit in.” He nodded his head in understanding and told me his order. Once he walked away to find us a table, it was my turn to order.

The food finally came out for us, after about ten minutes of waiting, and I looked around the place to find Alex. I noticed him in a corner booth and smiled as I made my way over to him with the tray of food. The place didn’t have very many people in it, so that was nice.

I reached the table and sat the tray on it, in front of Alex. I took off my small salad, fries, burger, and my drink. Alex looked up at me and smiled, placing a kiss on my lips before digging into his food that sat in front of him. I couldn’t help the smile that was on my face as I began to eat.

We finished eating about twenty-five minutes later, and were now back in my car just driving around. We didn’t feel like going home yet. Our home. I loved the sound of that. My house is pretty big, and when Alex and I got back together Zack thought it would be best for him to move out, even I told him there was more than enough room for him there as well. There is also a guest room right across from my room, that with the money I’m getting now, can turn it into a room for Melody.

“What should we do?” Alex suddenly asked.

“Uh, it’s not too late, how about a movie?” I questioned his question.

“A movie sounds nice.” He spoke. I nodded my head and drove the short trip to the cinema. I loved how where we lived, was so close to everything in town, it’s perfect. Most things are even in walking distance, but I refuse to let Alex be on his feet for too long.

I pulled into the cinema parking lot and looked through my window to see the list of movies that were playing. None of them sparked my interest. That was when I got a thought in my head. “How about we just go home and take a nice bubble bath together?” I looked over to him and his face lit up. He nodded his head quickly and I smiled and turned the car around, getting back onto the street and heading back home. He loves bubble baths, so I knew he would agree to it.
