It’s been a week since our big win, and basically everyone, even a week later, keeps passing Alex and I in the hallway, at school, telling us how awesome of a job we did. Speaking of school, I was in the first class of the day. I was pretty worried because Alex wasn’t here, so I sent him a quick text asking why he wasn’t in school.
He soon replied and said he kept getting sick this morning, so he wasn’t going to come to school today. I couldn’t leave my boyfriend alone if he was sick, so I got out of my seat and left the class. I was heading straight to his house to make sure he was okay.

I reached his house with no problem, and just walked inside the house. I knew his parents were already at work, so I just walked up the stairs that led to his room. I saw his bedroom door was shut so I opened it, without knocking, and saw him sitting on his bed playing his xbox.

“Hey babe.” I said as I shut the bedroom door and walked over to sit next to him. “You don’t look very sick.”

“Hey. Oh, and I don’t feel sick. I just keep throwing up, and I have no clue why.” He said as he greeted me with a small smile. I nodded in understanding and he passed me another controller. But I declined it.

“No thanks. Besides, you need to stop playing so we can figure out what is wrong with you.” I spoke as I took his controller and turned off his xbox. “So, tell me what’s wrong?”

“Uh, well, I keep throwing up. That’s pretty much it.”

“No aches or pains? Nothing?”

“Nope. Do you have any clue?” I thought about it for a few minutes, that’s when my mind went back to the day of our big win. Maybe, just maybe.

“Do you have any pregnancy tests around here?” I asked quietly. His eyes went wide as he thought about what I just said. He shook his head and put his hand on his stomach in shock. “I think we need to go to the drug store.” He nodded his head and we quickly got up from the bed and basically ran down the stairs.
