Jack

It didn't take long for my friends to accept Nikki into our group. She even tried her best to shoot the ball into the hoop, failing pretty badly until I showed her how to do it. When I showed her how to do it, I put my arms around her and lined her up with the hoop, helping her aim, and showing her how she should hold the ball. I don't know why, but I kinda liked having her that close to me. She smelled pretty good as well, so that was a plus. By the time I was done with my thoughts, and shot the ball into the hoop one last time, the bell rang to go to the second class of the day.
All five of us walked to the boys locker room, well, Nikki stayed outside of it, as Alex, Zack, Rian, and I all went in to change.

"So, Nikki aye?" Alex asked with a smirk.

"What about her?" I questioned, as I put my grey v-neck back on.

"You like her, don't you?" Zack asked.

"No?" I said looking confused. I can't like someone I just met like, twenty minutes ago, can I?

"If you don't like her, then you at least find her attractive." Rian spoke. He wasn't wrong there, Nikki was pretty attractive. I nodded my head as I put my beanie back on and they all smiled as they took my agreement to finding her attractive.
We all walked back out of the locker room and I saw Nikki was backed up against a wall as Jenna, the head cheerleader was pretty close to her. It kinda sucked that the person just so happened to be Jenna, as she is my ex girlfriend, crazy ex girlfriend at that. I looked over to my friends and they all gave me confused looks. I sighed as I heard something Jenna said.

"So, did the little nerd really think she could get by me without me fucking with her today?" I saw a smirk on her lips. I nodded the guys, in the way Nikki was, and we walked over. "Listen-" I cut her off.

"Everything alright over here, Nikki?" I asked, grabbing her hand and moving her away from the wall and over to the guys and I. I felt the tension in her hand fly away as I took it. I released it and crossed my arms over my chest. "Why were you being rude to her, Jenna?"

"Rude? Me? Why I never!" Jenna said as she tried her best to act innocent. She always tried to act innocent around me, trying to get me to take her back. Yeah, that's never going to happen.

"Whatever. Come on guys, we can't be late for Mrs. Micheal's class. I heard she's basically the teacher from hell." I said to my friends, as we all shared a laugh and left Jenna standing there. Why was Jenna being so mean to Nikki in the first place? I'm pretty sure a sweet girl like Nikki did nothing to her.
