Nikki's P.O.V

"Well for one I hate gym and for two I don't have any friends" I bit the inside of my cheek again. He probably thinks I'm a freak now.
"How does one go through high school with no friends?"
"Well I had friends in middle school back in my old town of New York City but after my dad walked out on me and my mom we moved here to Baltimore. Everyone kinda saw me as the freak with a weird taste in music. Hell all throughout my Freshman year and a month into Sophomore year I was bullied. You're the first person I've met who's been nice to me"
"Why'd your dad walk out?" I was hoping he'd ignore that part.
"Story for another time" I responded holding back the tears that threatened to fall.
"Okay. Come on. I'll introduce you to my friends" He says getting up and extending a hand.
I hesitantly take it and he helps me up. We walk over to his friends and I stand there kinda awkwardly for a couple minutes. Until Jack cleared his throat getting their attention.
"Boys I'd like you to meet Nikki. Nikki meet boys" I laugh
"Great introduction Jack. Some names would be nice though"
"She has a point Jack. Hey Nikki I'm Alex and that's Rian and Zack" The caramel haired one said whilst pointing at a guy with a shaved head and one who looks like he lives at a gym.
"Enchante"
"What?" They all ask in confusion.
"It means nice to meet you in French"
"Oooh. Nice to meet you too" I smile and shake my head. Maybe senior year won't be so bad after all.
