I have never hated someone more than I hate Eric. He totally deserved the beating he got from Jack. If only Jack knew that what he just said wasn't even the worst of it, Eric would most definitely be in the hospital with a few broken bones. And that's if Jack is feeling generous. What makes all this worse is thinking back to the Eric I once knew. That Eric was never and would never be this much of a dick. Then again, it could all just be a facade. He could have just acted like that to get in my pants. I mean it was eighth grade, not fourth. He very well could have been like this back then. I mean there's gotta be a reason he kissed me even though he was with Jenna.

I thought through all of this during fourth period. All we were doing was writing an essay that I had already finished so I just sat and doodled as I waited for class to end. The second the bell rang I was up and out of my seat ready to go to lunch, because fuck am I hungry. As I walked out of class I feel an arm over my shoulders and look up to see my boyfriend grinning excitedly at me.

“What's got you so happy?” I say smiling. Not my fault that his grin is infectious.

“What, am I not allowed to be in a good mood?” He responded jokingly.

“I didn't say that. It's just awfully suspicious because A it's Monday, B you beat the shit out of someone only a few hours ago, and C we're at school. So mister out with it. What's got you in such a good mood?”

“Well, I was going to surprise you later but me and the boys booked a show at a nearby bar. It may not be a huge venue but it's a start.”

“Oh my god, Jack! That's amazing!” I said giving him a huge hug and pecking his lips.

“I know. I'm excited! It's next Saturday. You should invite Jenna and your mom.”

“I will. If Zack doesn't beat me to it. I swear he has a thing for her.”

“He does not.”

“He so does. Watch the way he interacts with her at practice tonight. He's into her.” Jack rolls his eyes but nods anyway.

“Let's go eat. I'm fucking hungry.”

“You're always hungry.”

“So are you.”

“Touché.”

And with that we made our way out of the building to his car where the rest of the gang was standing. We all piled into Alex’s and Jack's cars and headed to the McDonalds that was around the corner. We got our food and walked to a nearby park where we sat and ate. Or in me and Alex's case sat and bickered over who the better Disney sidekick was.

“Genie is clearly the best Disney character. I mean it's Robin Williams. It doesn't get much better than that.” I argue.

“Okay but have you seen Sebastian. He's a lobster that warns Ariel about everything, and tried to score her that kiss with what's his face.” Alex retaliates.

“But can Sebastian grant wishes? Is he as important to the plot of The Little Mermaid as Genie is to Aladdin? No, he's not. Ariel would survive just fine without him.”

“You've got a point.”

“I know. There's a reason why I always win these arguments.”

“Yeah, it's because I let you.”

“Yeah, right. If thinking that is what keeps your ego from getting to bruised than go ahead.”

“Shit, Alex. I think she just figured you out.” Jenna said laughing.

“Fuck off.” Alex said in mock annoyance.

“You know you love me, Alex.” I said giving him a sickly sweet grin.

“I suppose.”

Lunch continued like this. Me sitting in Jack's lap bickering with the guys or chatting with Jenna, Lisa, and Cass while the boys bickered. I love these goofballs so much. It's crazy to think that it's only been a month, it feels like I've known them for so much longer. I don't know how I've made it through high school without them but at least I have them now, and I wouldn't trade them for anyone or anything.
