I feel proud of myself now. I brought those two back together. My ex girlfriend and the girl I’ve known and admired from afar all these years. I can’t wait for that beautiful fire-red-haired girl standing right in front of me.
“Hey Jen, can I have a moment alone with Nikki?” I want her to be mine; I want her to be mine now.
“Sure Jack, but there’s something I wanted to ask you first”
“Ask away”
“I know that our relationship didn’t end on great terms, but I was wondering if we could be friends. I’ve missed talking to you and hanging out with you”
“Of course Jenna, come here” I said, extending my arms. She walked into them and we hugged for a few seconds before she pulled away and walked over to Nikki and whispered something in her ear. Whatever it was, made Nikki blush almost as dark as her hair.
“See you later Nic, you too Jack” Jenna said walking out of the room. I walked over to Nikki and hugged her.
“Hey Nic, may I ask you a question?”
“You just did” She smirked.
“Smart ass” I smiled back.
“True but go ahead”
“Well, I’ve liked you for a long time now. Since 9th grade when you were sat in front of me in English. You were always the cute shy girl, who I couldn’t get the balls to talk too. Every year, you’ve been in at least one of my classes or would always pass my locker in the hall, where my friends would tease me when they caught me staring at you. It wasn’t until that one day in PE when Alex and Zack pushed me towards you that I had the balls to talk to you. Since I’ve gotten to know you, I’ve admittedly started falling for you. You’re beautiful smile, how you have to lay your head on the table when you laugh to hard, how your eyes light up when talking about something you’re passionate about. Everything and anything about you Nikki, makes me want you to be mine each and every day. I guess what I’m trying to say here is, will you be my girlfriend?”
When I looked back up at her she was nodding her head like crazy. She ran towards me and I picked her up and spun her around.
“Yes Jack, I will be your girlfriend” She finally said as she pulled me down by my tie and kissed me. I couldn’t be happier right now. There was absolutely nothing that could ruin this night now.
Or so I thought.
