I Wanna Feel Weightless

"I'm so excited for tonight" Lisa squealed next to me as we were doing the finishing touches to our makeup.
"Me too. I'm also a bit nervous. What if I say or do something stupid and-" I started rambling but Lisa cut me off.
"Hun, don't worry about a thing. Jack already likes you. And I mean really likes you. It's not gonna matter what you say or do. And on top of that he's a child in a teenager's body"
"Thanks Lis. I needed that"
"I know hun. Now let's get downstairs and wait for those goofs" I laughed.
"Good idea"

I was starting to get a little worried because the dance starts in 5 minutes and the boys still aren't here yet. This is only my second Homecoming. The only reason being the first time I was actually okay with going alone. I haven't been to a dance since then because of bad memories I don't want to relive.
