Pierce's POV

Pain.

It was all I could feel. Just numb with pain. I tried moving but I couldn't, everything hurt.

Maybe I'm dead. Yes, finally. The world, Kyle, my parents, school don't have to bother with me anymore. I am finally at rest, peace at last.

That is until I hear voices.

"Pierce, baby" the voice is soft but cracking, on the edge of tears.

It's my mother.

'Mom! Mom!' I try to shout but I still can't move. I want to see her, I want to see her precious face again.

"Pierce?! She's moving! Doctor!"

Doctor? Am I in hospital? Yes I am. Then the memories of the bathroom punch me in the face.

"You were unconsious for 24 hours, darling" my mother soothes.

My limp, weak body lays in the white bed, pain kicking me with every movement.

"Why didn't you tell me about...Kyle?" She whispers.

I don't answer.

She knows now, everyone else does. Everyone knows how weak I am, how fragile I am. And I'm defiantly sure they know of my scars.

Mum says and asks things for three hours straight. I don't answer. I don't say anything, until Rian's mom turns up.

She knocks lightly before gently sliding open the door.
She smiles at me and my mother before pulling up a chair beside her.

"Hello, dear" she says, her voice feather-like.
I weakly smile back and mother takes me hand in hers.

"Now I'm sure the police have told you that I can't ask you anything but..." I cut off her voice.

The police?!

My throat tightens. No no no anything but the police.

"Pierce?!" I snap out of my panic and shake my head.

We sit in an awkward silence for a while. Boring and long.

"LET ME SEE HER NOW!" Someone screams from outside, causing me and my mother and Rian's mom to jump fifty feet in the air.

"Who's that?" My mother asks, turning to the door.
I adjust my head to the door, and catch a glimpse of slimmering white teeth.

Rian.

Rian's mother jumps up in realisation and burst out the door, grabbing her son.

"Now, Rian, calm d..."
"NO! LET ME SEE HER!"
"She won't see you like this!"
Alex stands behind Rian, placing a hand in his shoulder and nodding.

Rian sighs and takes a seat next to Alex and Jack. His mother turns to close the door and continues speaking to her son.

I turn away quickly and close my eyes, desperate to sleep.

When I awake, my mom has gone and I'm alone. My door is shut and the hospital is quiet.
Rian must of gone home then.

My eyes begin to well up at the thought. I didn't want him to go, I wanted to see him. I wanted and needed Rian right now.
Not my mother or his mother or even Alex, just Rian.

I sob lightly, bringing my knees to my chest and crying into them.
Each tear stings pain but I just need him.

Only he understands me. Only Rian knows inside my head, yet that scared me. To know someone who understands you, every inch terrifies me but Rian doesn't. He makes me feel safe.

I can jut imagine him; bursting through my door and gasping my name. Running over and hugging me, whilst I gently sob into his chest. I drench his shirt as he soothes me, rubbing my back.

"Sh, it's okay" he whispers.

I snap my head up and see Rian, rubbing my back and holding me.
I turn back to his chest and cry again, happy that he's finally here.

"R...r...Rian" I stuttered, whispering. He shushed me and stroked my hair.

I continued crying with Rian comforting me for hours until he spoke.

"I was so scared, Pierce. I saw you and thought you were dead. Oh god, Pierce! I wouldn't live if you died" he sobbed, crying himself.

"Ry, I need you. Only you understand me, only you like me" I admitted.

Finally, I realised that Rian did care. But did he love me?

He slowly released me and sat in the chair next to my bed. He gribbed my hand tightly ad gazed into my eyes.
We stared for ages, no questions and no one speaking.
Rian cut off our connection but closing his eyes and rubbig the back of my hand.

"Kiss me" he whispered.

I choked in my throat and looked at him. His eyes still closed and breathing hitching.

"Why?" I whisper.

"Just...kiss me"

Gingerly, I lean forward, our lips inches away. I feel his breath on my swollen lips. It stops suddenly and take it as my que.

I press our lips together.

Unlike the other times, I feel...magic. An ever-lasting spark for all eternay. Nothing and nothing could stop this moment.
Our lips mould together, like a lock and key. So gentle and so sweet.

He pulls away slowly, frowning. His eyes still closed.

"What?" I ask.

"Finally" he smiles, his opens his eyes and lock with mine.

"What?" I reply.
The world, every second, children playing, pain and war stop as he says...

"I...i love you"
