Noughts and Crosses

Jacks POV

I was woken up by someone playing nwith my hair.
I knew it was Alex but my instincts told me it was so I moved away quickly and looked at Alex.
I always loved his eyes. I don't know why but his eyes look like they could make you do anything.
He was wrapped up in my spiderman duvet, while I was wrapped in Kyles batman duvet.
My neck hurt and so did my back.
"Move." I said quietly and Alex moved and I climbed over him and got behind him and put my duvet on top of Alex's.
I lead down and put my arm around him.
Alex moved one of his hands under and found mine and linked his fingers with mine and he moved closer to me.
I smiled and kissed the back of his neck.

Kyle came home and I looked at him as he came round and sat in the gap of mine and Alex's legs.
We had the news on and Kyle eyes snapped in my direction.
"Alex go outside please." I said quietly.
"But I'm comfy and was about to go back to sleep." He muttered and sat up and I sat behind him and wrapped my arms round him.
"I know, but for the moment you have to go outside." I said and kissed his cheek.
He blushed and wrapped a duvet round him grabbed Kyles cigarettes.
"You better pay me back for them." Kyle growled.
"I will." Alex smiled and went outside.
I didn't speak until the back door clicked shut.

"Please tell me you didn't kill that man Kyle." I said in a low voice.
Kyle looked away from me.
"Kyle tell me you didn't kill him!" I said loudly and stood in front of him.
"Yes." Kyle said quietly.
"Yes you did kill him or yes you didn't?" i snapped.
"Yes I killed him!" Kyle said and looked me hard in the eye.
"why?" i asked and started to pace the room.
"A job Jack, you know when we have a job it and you know it more likely we're going to kill someone." Kyle growled.
"Yes I know that but you said you was going to stop this fucking horse shit! Oh look what your doing your going back to the promise you made to mum." i said loudly.
"What have you done now Kyle?" Mum growled as she walked in to the room.
"Guess who's gone back on there word." isnapped.
"You fucking snitch! Do you want me too tell them what you are as well?" he said loudly.
"I'll beat you too it." i growled and looked at mum.
"Hey guess what mum, im breaking the rules." i said sarcastically.
She looked at me confused.
"Kyle go to your room and your gonna fucking get it when I get round to you. Jack you better sit your fucking arse on that sofa and tell me what the fuck you are talking about." She growled.
Damn she was scary when she was like this.
"Ypur fucking dead when I get my fucking hands on you." Kyle snarled and went upstairs.

"fucking bring it big man!" i shouted and went to the stairs where Kyle flew down the stairs.
"what was that?" he snarled and tried to pin to the wall but I had him on the floor with his hands behind his back.
"Boys stop it!" Mum shouted.
We ignored her.
"You think your all high and fucking mighty but guess what Kyle you not! Your just another person. You are not God's gift." i growled.
The backdoor slammed shut.
"fucking hell." Alex said as he looked at what was going on.
"The fuck do you want dagger boy!?" Kyle growled. "Alex. My name is Alex nigga." Alex snarled.
Mum looked at him shocked.
"News Flash Kyle your a dagger as well." He snapped.
"Kyle your room now. Jack sitting room. Alex outside." Mum said.
"Fuck am I goung back out there!" Alex said.
"Just fucking do it Alex!" Me and mum shouted at him.
"If my balls drop off I'm blaming you. " He growled and went back outside.

"Get off him now Jack." Mum growled.
I let him go and got of him.
Kyle got up and glared at me.
"Get up them fucking stairs young man before I fucking kill you right now!" she shouted.
He went upstairs knowing better than to argue with mum.
"You! Get in there and tell me what you meant earlier." she growled.
Well I was in the shitter.

I sat on the sofa and looked at one spot on the floor.
I felt mum sit next to me.
"Jacky what did you mean that you was breaking the rules?" She said quietly.
"Exactly that. I'm breaking the rules." I said quietly.
"Whatever you say or done I won't hate you. You're my son and what ever it is you've done doesn't matter I'll love you." She said and pulled me too her side.
"I'm gay and im sort of in a relationship with a Nought." I said quietly and pulled away from here.
"Oh Jacky." she whispered and pulled me into her side.
"Is it with Alex?" She asked quietly.
I looked at her.
"I saw you two sleeping this morning when I went to work. It was really cute." she chuckled.
"Don't say anything to dad." i said quietly.
I knew dad would kick me out straight away.
"Its safe with me." she said quietly and kissed the top of my head.
"That poor boy must be freezing." She said and got up and let Alex in.

His teeth were chattering loudly.
Mum webt out to the kitchen and made him a drink.
Alex came over to where I was sitting and pretty much cuddled into my side.
"Jesus Alex your freezing. " I said and wrapped the other duvet round us and pulled him closer to me hoping that might warm him up a little bit.
"Think you would be if you where sat put in the cold for nearly an hour." he shivered.
Mum came in and handed Alex a cuppa tea.
Alex took it and smiled.
"You shouldn't of done." he said quietly and looked at the drink.
"You need to warm up before you go home. Can't have you getting ill now can we?" she said abd raised an eyebrow.
"Its not as if they care." he said quietly.
"They might not but I do." she said quietly.
He looked at her confused. So did I if i was honest.
"Drink up. You have to be gone before Bassam gets back." she smiled and went upstairs.
"Kyle Kazim Barakat you have a lot to explain." She shouted as she went up the stairs.
" His middle is Arabic like yours." He said and looked at me.
I couldn't help but smile at what he just said.
"You remembered?" I asked quietly.
"Cause I remembered. Why wouldn't I remember my best friends full name?" He asked confused.
Alex went back to nursing his drink and drinking it every so often.

After a while mum came down and sat next to us.
"Your going to get the same talking to as what your brother has just had Jack. But that'll be when Alex goes home. Which shpuld be now since your father is going to be home soon." Mum said and looked at us hard.
Alex put his cup down on the table and went over to the door and put his coat on.
"Was that my cue to go home?" He asked.
I went over and put my shoes and coat on.
"Your coming home Jack, I don't want you to stay round Alex's. Not tonight." Mum said.
I went upstairs.
"You fucking told her I go round Alex's?" I snapped.
Kyle looked at me.
He had a red hand print on his face.
"She wanted fucking answers so I fucking gave them to her." He spat and turned away from me.
"You bastard." I growled and slammed the door.

I grabbed hold ofnAlex and pretty much dragged him out the house.
"Jack slow down." Alex said.
I ignored him.
"Jack slow the fuck down will you." He said and pulled his arm out my hold and stood still.
I stopped at looked at him. "What's the matter?" He asked and walked over to me.
"Nothing is wrong. Why don't you just go back to your perfect family and play happy families." I snapped.
Alex looked at me and I could see the hurt on his face.
He walked up close too me.
"My family is not perfect Jack. Happy families is a game we don't play. It's more like who can shout the most abuse at each other. Your family is a happy family. Just because I have the fucking money does not mean my family is happy. In fact I'm pretty sure my family is the most unhappiest family in this whole place. So don't you DARE say my family is happy and perfect because you know fuck all Jack." I said and barged past me and went home.
"Alex wait." I shouted after him.
He stopped and looked at me.
"No Jack." He said and ran off.
Fuck sake.
I threw my head back and slowly went home and see what mum had to say to me.
