Third Times A Charm

Alex's twin had come in earlier, and now they were sitting on the couch talking. I was on the floor playing with the three kids. They had me "pinned" to the ground and messing with my hair and face and everything. Who ever knew that dad was a toy? I was laughing at the children's hands that softly played with my hair, it tickled.

"We win Daddy," Noah said happily.

"Yes, yes you did," I laughed.

I happily picked up my son tickling him till he was erupting with laughter. I kissed the top of his head as Joella and Lexi jumped on my back as if to tackle me. I smiled at the three kids. I was exhausted already, despite all the cardio I get on stage, I joined the other adults on the couch despite the complaints of the children. They quickly forgot, or moved on, and found something else to play with.

"It's cute to see you play with the kids," Alex said, leaning over and kissing me.

"And you're cute," I replied.

He shook his head and turned his attention back to his sister. She had mentioned something about her dick of a husband kicking her and Lexi out of the house and she had nowhere else to go. I was fine with them staying here but only for so long. It wasn't that I didn't like her or anything, it was I wanted some personal time with Alex, he was my boyfriend and I was touring in a band.

"Shit," I muttered.

"Language," both Alex and Becca said at the same time.

"Alex, I have a tour in two weeks."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah, I heard about it last week but I forgot to mention it. We're playing with Slipknot!"

"That's awesome babe."

"Wait, you're in a band," Becca asked.

"Yeah, Avenged Sevenfold," I replied to her proudly.

"I knew you looked familiar!"

I smiled to her and wrapped my arm around Alex's shoulder's pulling him into my side. I liked feeling him next to me. It was always hard to leave for tour because I had to leave my three favorite people in the world. Alex tried to go to concerts and bring our kids but it wasn't always easy and do you really want to bring three year olds to metal concerts?

I kissed Alex cheek softly, I just loved him so much. I liked having him near me, with me. I liked to kiss him and hold him. He made me happier than anyone, or anything, ever could. He wrapped his arm around my waist, practically pulling himself into my lap. I couldn't help but place another kiss on his lips.

"You guys are cute and everything but..." Becca spoke.

"Sorry," he blushed.

He pressed his blushing face into my next and laid a kiss there. I smiled softly and squeezed his shoulder ever so slightly. I pushed him out of my lap gently and stood up off the couch. I excused myself to go pick up food. I got out to my vehicle and drove to the store quickly. As I was walking around I found a very familiar face.

"Steph," I asked.

"Hey Jack, how're you," she said quietly.

It was a little awkward considering we hadn't talked since that day at the hospital. I really didn't know what to say, what wouldn't be awkward to say? She cleared her throat and I brought my attention back to her. She looked better now than she had that last time.

"How're the kids," she asked.

"They're great," I smiled.

"They don't know about me right?"

"No, Joella keeps asking but we just tell her that we don't know who you are."

"Thanks Jack. Let's try to keep it that way."

Notes

Steph is back guys! This really isn't my favorite update but it gives you a little more information. Do y'all think something is going to happen when Jack is on tour? So I'm like done with stuff for the second half of today and tomorrow so I'm just chilling in my dorm playing bass and it's the life, I love it.
