Third Times A Charm

I had my arms wrapped around Alex as we stared up at the house we were looking at. We waiting for the realtor to give us a tour like they had promised. I heard the clinking of heels and we both turned to face her. We gave her a warm smile and her face went from unreadable to an equally warm smile. I continued to have my arm wrapped around Alex's waist, I loved his waist. It was so cute, it felt so well in the crook of my arm.

"You two must be Jack and Alex, I'm Anne. I'll show you guys the house now," she said warmly.

I took his hand happily and we followed Anne as she unlocked the front door. Once she opened the door there was only one word I could use to describe the house. It was beyond beautiful. The sunlight filtered into the foyer and made the hard wood floor almost sparkle. The staircase spiraled down to the far end of the entrance way near where the kitchen was. There where three doorways, all open. One showed into a small room that Alex was probably thinking of having a small library. I looked over at the room directly across from it, it was small but possibly attached to the bigger living room beside it. It had a few chairs still in the corners by the windows but not much else. The living room was quite roomy which looped around behind the stairs, connecting to the kitchen. This also connected to the small, possible library, through a very small hallway. We followed her up the stairs and saw the three bedrooms, two of which connected by a bathroom. The third was a little bigger with a separate bathroom. There was also multiple closets in the hallway. Lastly was the master bedroom and to say it was big was an understatement. In the master bedroom was also an office. The bathroom was also quite big with a Jacuzzi bath tub and shower as well as two full sinks. The house was beautiful and phenomenal.

Anne told us to go check out the back yard while she double checked all of the information. We were walking around hand in hand, the yard was huge. We sat down in the gazebo that was off to the corner. We were discussing everything we could do with the house, it was perfect for us and well within price range.

"Yeah, Joella could get the far room because chances are she'll need more stuff, and Noah can get the other one. Right now Becca can get the room with the spare bathroom. We'd get the master bedroom, obviously. We could put a cute little library in that small room to the right when you walk in. We could put like an air hockey table in the small room to the left and get a huge ass TV for the family," Alex smiled at me.

I smiled at him and pecked his lips lovingly. I loved how he was rambling about it. No one had looked at this house recently because everyone who moves in gets divorced so many newly weds won't buy it. Neither Alex nor I are superstitious and we've survived this long, we'll last through anything.

"Jack, Alex, can I talk to you," Anne said.

"Absolutely," Alex said, dragging me with him.

"It's about the house, I know you told us it's perfect but someone else bought it. I'm sorry, I can't sell you the house."

"Oh, alright."

I could tell the shift in Alex's mood and I knew that he just wanted to go home. I helped him to the car after thanking Anne for her help and began to drive home. He was just staring at the window, I know he was bummed. It would've been the perfect house for us because there was a lot that we could do to make it even more fitting. It was beautiful and us. We would find another one.

"Alex it happens in ;life. We'll find something even better, I promise.," I replied.

"It just seems that it happens more to us in general," he replied.

"I mean that is a thing. It is reality. We are treated differently because of who we love. We weren't made for things to be easy and it's been anything but. I love you and I wouldn't have you any other way. This life, though more difficult, was given to us because whomever gave it to us knew that we were able to handle it and we would be able to easily overcome all the obstacles."

"You are so smart. I fucking love you Jack."

"I love you too, fiancée."

Notes

So, the house in this is based off of a friend's house (it really was pretty) and I thought it would work for them. Also, I threw some hardcore reality in this so I'm sorry it has a huge depressing undertone in this. I'm also really sorry that this is out at a. midnight my time (I don't sleep anymore by choice) and b. like a week later. I have no excuse as to why cause this weekend I didn't leave my bed until dinner time so... I'm just terrible.
