Manage Me, I'm A Mess

Chapter One: Hell Above

-Alex's P.O.V.-

I sat in the black mustang, watching the trees pass by. My mum was a secretary for some huge company and my dad was a sells man. Needless to say, my family was rich. But it wasn't as much as a big deal to me like it was to my parents.

I sat in the back seat, lightly scanning my fingers over my ruined wrists as I winced lightly. The physical pain was much better than the emotional pain that I felt. I guess I was caught up in my thoughts because a few seconds later we entered our new neighborhood.

The houses were almost identical besides the custom decorations that the owners had set out, claiming the house as theirs. They were all two-story, some three-story, brick houses. Ours was a two-story auburn brick house. The home next to us was almost exactly the same besides the flowers that were placed outside the window and the chimes that made noise in the wind.

I sighed and stepped out of the expensive car, ignoring the argument that my parents were having over the new decor of our new home. I never understood as to why they stuck together, because it definitely not because of me.

I stepped passed them and opened the wooden door, the fresh pine smell hitting my senses. I let my eyes roam the house, catching every detail as I tried to get used to the new home. I walked up the stairs to find and claim my room. I looked down the long hallway, walking down and peaking into the multiple rooms. One would be my dads office, my mums office, their room, my room, and a yoga room. My mum had recently got involved with yoga after my dad criticized her of being old.

One room in particular caught my eye. It had a huge square window with a bed attached to it, a bathroom that connected, and a built in entertainment center. I stepped in and observed the window with the built in bed. I could see inside of one of the rooms that was connected to the other house.

It had some band posters that I was extremely familiar with, a huge flat screen T.V. that seemed to have a game system below it, and a few action figures on a black bookshelf. The room seemed to belong to a teenage male, but hey, who knows?

I pulled my eyes from the room and turned as I heard my mum ask me if I liked this one. I nodded. "Well, go get your stuff from the car." Her face was emotionless as she walked down the rest of the hallway, looking for a good room for her yoga and office. I tiredly rubbed my eyes and yawned as I made my way back down the stairs.

My bags were beside the door. I'm guessing my dad brought them in. I grabbed the handle of my suitcase and the arm of my book bag. I traveled back up the stairs and back into my new room.

-AFTER GETTING EVERYTHING ARRANGED-

I tiredly rubbed my eyes once again before yawning once more. I flopped down on my mattress that the movers had brought for me. I rolled over to my side and pulled the blanket over my cold body, closing my eyes. It was early, maybe 3:00 p.m. something, but I was exhausted. I got comfortable and closed my eyes again, slowly letting sleep consume me.
