“Alex, why won't you believe me!” Jack grabs his best friends hand trying to prevent him from storming away.
“Because Jack, I know Lisa and I know she's faithful.” Alex sighed “I know you two don't exactly get along but that's no reason for you to lie about her cheating on me and trying to break us up. Thats just low dude.”
“I swear on my signed Fall Out Boy CD that I'm not lying! I saw her making out with Jeff at the park! I wouldn't make something like this up! You're my best fucking friend and I just want you to be happy and you're not going to be happy with a cheating whore of a girlfriend!” Jack said raising his voice in attempts to get his point across.
It seemed to work too, because Alex looks a 5 year old who accidentally broke their favorite toy. Their was so much pain and sadness in his beautiful brown eyes.
“I know.” Alex whispers. “I know she's cheated on me and continues too. I just try to convince myself that I was seeing things and she is faithful. But its getting harder and harder too. But I can't end things with her. I don't know how to not be with her. We've been together since the first week of freshman year. I've been with her for almost 3 years.” By the time Alex was finished he was in tears.
Jack instantly grabbed him and hugged him tighter than he has ever before. He hated to see Alex cry, especially over someone as worthless as Lisa. She wasn't worth his tears.
“Shhh, Lexy its okay. Just let it all out. Hopefully this will help you realize that she's not worth the pain.” He whispered into the slightly older boys ear as he rubbed soothing circles onto his back. Jack felt his shoulder being soaked with tears but he didn't mind. Alex needed a good cry. He's been so much shit in the past year and he's been holding it all in. This is the first time he cried since he found out his older brother died in a car crash a little under a year ago.
“W-why does she do these things to me Jay?” Alex managed to choke out between pain filled sobs.
“Because she's a heartless skank who doesn't think of anyone but herself. I know its gonna be hard for you but you have you have to break up with her. All she does is cause you pain.”
“I know” Alex yawned out “I'll try. But right now I'm tired and I just wanna watch batman and sleep.”
“That sounds like a fantastic idea.” Jack slipped his hand into Alex's and lead him to his room.

Jack slowly opened his eyes, letting them adjust to the light, looking over at the clock on his nightstand. Its noon and they told Rian and Zack they would have band practice 12:30. His heart soars when he realizes that him and Alex are cuddling. He pressed his nose into Alex's hair taking in his scent one last time before wake him up.
“Hey Alex,” He shakes him softly “we have practice in a half an hour.” Alex doesn't budge.
“ALEX!” Jack says louder shaking him harder. Still Alex is dead asleep.
“ASSHOLE! WAKE THE FUCK UP!” Alex jumps awake at Jack yelling in his ear.
“Dude what the fuck?!” Alex grumbles, rubbing his eyes.
“You didn't wake up the first two times so desperate times call for desperate measures. Now get ready. We have to be at Rian's in 25.”
“Whatever. Give me a minute to wake up.”
“Fine but if I come in here and you're back asleep I'm gonna be pissed.” Jack states as he grabs some clothes to change into before heading to the bathroom.
Alex reluctantly got out of Jack's bed and stole some clothes from his drawers. He pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans and a new found glory tour shirt from when him and Jack saw them last year and started working on his hair.
“You're lucky you're up and ready. I was gonna ball tap you if you went back to sleep.” Jack laughs as he walks in. Alex rolled his eyes at him as he threw on his beanie.

“Hey Jack?” Alex asks timidly as the two boys embark on their short walk to Rian's.
“What's up?” Jack answers with slight worry in his voice.
“I think I'm going to take your advice and end things with Lisa. But I don't know how to do it. If I do it in person she'll give me her damn puppy eyes and cry and probably beg for me to take her back, which I'll end up doing but if I do it through text I'll feel like an asshole.” Alex sighed
“Honestly if you do it through text and feel like an ass then oh well, she deserves the harshness. She's been nothing but unfaithful for god knows how long. I think thats how you should do it to be honest. I really don't want her to try to be taken back because she's no where good enough for you and never was. I don't know what you saw in her man.”
“I don't know anymore either. At first she was sweet and loving but that all changed. I wish I noticed it earlier so I didn't feel like such a dick for ending an almost 3 year relationship.” Alex drops his head in shame.
“Alex look at me.” Jack stops them and hold Alex's face so he's look at him in the eyes. “Trust me. You will not be a dick for this. She fucking deserves to be dumped. She could of avoided all of this if she learned how to respect you and the relationship. But she didn't and that gives you every fucking right to dump her!”
“You're right Jack.” Alex says with more confidence. “I'm going to do it right now actually.”
He pulls out his phone and starts typing the break up message. When he's finished he shows Jack for approval.
“Lisa, look this isn't easy but it has to be done. You've cheated on me so many times I've honestly lost track. I acted like I didn't know because I thought you loved me. I thought that you'll realized that everything you wanted was right in front of you. But I was wrong. And I was wrong for not doing this sooner. I'm sorry but we're over. Don't even try and get me to take you back. It'll never happen.

“I couldn't of put it any better Lexy. I'm proud of you.” Jack pulls him into a tight hug after Alex sends the text.

“Sooo I broke up with Lisa today.” Alex announced during a rare silence at band practice.
“FINALLY!” Rian says a little to excited. “I couldn't stand her and her fucking bug eyes.”
They all laugh at Rian's comment. “But seriously Lex, thats a great thing. She was such and unfaithful little whore and maybe know you'll see what you want and need has been right in front of you all this time.”
“And who might that be?” Alex asks raising an eyebrow.
“N-nobody” Jack stammers out a little to quickly making Alex give him a weird look.
“Jack? Can I talk to you upstairs?” Alex starts his way up the basement stairs with a hesitant Jack following.
They go into the empty living room and Jack can feel his heart racing.
“So what was with that back there? Is their anything you're not telling me?”
“No. Nothing.” Jack lied.
“Please stop lying to me.”
“Fine,” Jack took in a deep breath. He could feel the butterflies in his stomach erupt and his heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest. “But you have to promise me you will not freak out and hate me after I tell you okay?” Jack holds out his pinky which Alex connects his with.
“There is nothing you can tell me that will make me hate you. You're my best fucking friend and I love you dude.”
“Okay, so I like you. Like extremely like you. The kind of like that makes my heart race anytime I'm near you. Some might call it love and I think I agree with them. I've felt this way ever since I met you. I was going to tell you in freshman year but then you got with Lisa, so I didn't. You mean the fucking world to me. You're hot and adorable and cute and sexy all at the same time. You're the kindest most sweet person I know.” Jack was a blushing mess at the end looking everywhere around the room except for at Alex.
“Why didn't you tell me this earlier?” Alex asks as he grabs hold of Jack's hand.
“Like I said, you got with Lisa.” Jack says lowly.
“But if you told me this earlier I wouldn't have basically 3 years as the she devil's boy friend. I could of spent them as your's.”
“Wait? What are you saying?”
“I'm saying that I love you too, you nimrod. That and I want you to be my boy friend.”
“Alex, you have no idea how much of a dream come true this is. Of course I'll be your boy friend.” A single tear of happiness falls from Jack's eye. Alex just laughs as he whips it away before pulling his boyfriend into a loving kiss.
