Undercover

"Alex, don't throw the knives please. I want to help you," Rian pleaded.

"Give me one damn good reason as to why I shouldn't," I snarled.

"Because if you kill me then you're going to die. They aren't that far behind me, they're not going to let you explain yourself. They'll kill both of you without a second thought."

"How do I know you won't kill us?"

"Alex, I'm fucking in love with you. Do you really think I have it in me to kill you?"

"Jack, get over here."

I looked at the lanky raven haired boy who was making his way over to us, his eye locked on shorter boy. He was eyeing Rian up and down as if he were sizing up the competition. Jack seemed to tense up against me, his body surprisingly close to me.

"This is Rian, my fiancé," I said softly.

"Why is he here," Jack blurted out.

"He wants to help us."

Rian motioned us to go forward, towards the river. There was a boat coming by, one of those boats that carry trash. Rian pointed for us to go towards it. I grabbed my bag and Jack's arm. I pulled him into the water and got onto the boat, pulling Jack up onto the trash.

He pulled me down into the pile, telling me to stay down. His arms were wrapped around me. Why did I want to kiss him? I looked up at the boy who was forcing himself closer to me with every move. I didn't want to shove him away, I didn't want his body to leave mine. Was this feeling normal?

He was using his body to hide mine. Why was he about to risk his life for mine? Without me he wouldn't be here in the first place. Without me he would be safe. Why was he more than willing to let me live and him die if need be. He looked down at me softly, his soft eyes made of chocolate locking onto my eyes.

"Are you alright," he whispered softly.

"I think so," I whispered.

"You're okay, we're going to be alright."

"I trust you Jay."

Suddenly he was the person calming me down, the person who I originally got to come with me due to trust was now the person I was about to lay my trust into. I needed to trust him more than he needed to trust me. There was something that was beautiful about this situation.

"Alex, are you okay," Jack asked again.

"Why do you keep asking," I questioned.

"You keep staring at me with a blank look on your face and I'm a little worried."

"I'm okay, just thinking"

A small smile graced his lips as our eyes met again. He was practically laying on top of me at this point but I wouldn't have it any other way. Something about the closeness of Jack made everything alright. It didn't matter that we were running for our lives, I wouldn't change the situation for a second. That's when our lips met for the first time and I couldn't help but force our lips together in a needy way.

Notes

Ohhhhh!! So, there will be no update on any story tomorrow and I will finish up Double Take on either Saturday or Sunday. I just had an idea for this and really waned to get it out.

So, once I finished packing my ex called me up to first ask a simple question but it turned into both of us kind of saying that we're going to miss each other and I don't know how I should feel.
