When you're a spy there's a few rules you have to live with. Now, seeing as I've done this my entire life I've never lived life any other way. Looking at it today, these rules are diabolical, almost evil. Who needs freedom anyway?
First off: once you join this group there's no getting out. When you decide to leave you're life is typically ended. It's a harsh world in this industry but we can't risk people going around with that information. There's only way to guarantee that said information would never get out. Unfortunately for the person, they wouldn't even have a chance to contemplate giving us up.
Second: spies are only allowed to fall in love with spies. This was for security reasons as well. We wouldn't need to find a way to explain where we were always going, we wouldn't need to come up with excuse after excuse. It was to protect our identity and keep us as secret as possible which was highly needed.
Third: dress code is the most important thing. If you show up out of uniform you will be sent home immediately to change (or to your locker) and you'll get a strike. Enough strikes and you'll be sent on an impossible mission which could just cost you your life. So, being out of dress code could end your life.
Lastly: you do what your told, no exceptions. If you were told to kill someone you killed them, no questions asked. If you questioned it someone might just be ordered to take your life.
Pretty much, you were a robot, forcing you to do what you were told. No emotions, no thoughts, no individuality. You were a robot of their creation and disobeying any of their rules would result in your life being ended shortly and abruptly.
Now, I know what you're asking, who would make rules this evil, this strange, this dangerous? The answer to that is my parents. They wanted us to be as safe as possible, they wanted to make sure that the people they employed were safe, ironic wasn't it? I loved my parents, I mean they're my parents. I just couldn't forgive them for two things, the rules they gave us, and making me live this life.
My name is Alex Gaskarth and I never wanted to be in this career. I want to do music and I will risk my life to do the thing I love the most.
Notes
The prologue which explains all the rules and stuff. This is based off of a story I had written a long time ago (like 5 years ago) and I decided to not only finish it but also share it. I did change the characters to make it work. It's going to be really strange just a warning.
Anyway, leave a comment and rate if you enjoy :)

I really hope I'll get to go to Warped, like all my friends hate the lineup (but I'm in love with it) so I have no one to go with so it really depends on how well I can convince my parents to let me go. I'm glad you like this story, I just got so busy with everything and I'm trying to update some of everything. By mid May I should be able to update twice a week (hopefully)
