Blink Once.

Chapter Seven.

Katrina

I opened my eyes and blinked them a few minutes to adjust to the light. I rubbed the sleep out of them with my sleeves and sat up. I looked around the room and noticed that is wasn’t my room, then I remembered that I stayed at the vamps place last night, and that I was currently in Jack’s bed. I got off the bed and stood up and grabbed my stuff, not even caring to put my pants back on since my sweater was of the longer variety, and it covered everything that needed to be covered.
I exited the room and made my way down the stairs, already hearing the voices of the things. Before I even entered the living room, where they were, they were already looking over to where I was entering.

“Right. Super hearing. Forgot.” I spoke.

“Where are your pants?” Alex asked.

“Well, if you had eyes, you could see that they are right here in my arms. I was too lazy to put them on, but it’s fine because everything is covered.” I replied.

“You should not wear pants more often.” Jack said with that gosh forsaken smirk of his. I rolled my eyes and walked over next to the couch and put on my shoes that I left there last night. I slipped my feet into them and started to walk away. Till someone grabbed my arm. I turned around and saw it was Jack, I really should have known that’s who it was. “Where are you going?”

“Uh...home?” I said giving him a look.

“I’ll walk you.” He said as he got up from the couch.

“No. You stay. I’m going on my own.” I said with a eye roll.

“No.” He replied bluntly.

“You are the most annoying vampire I have ever met.”

“Good.” He smirked. I let out a groan and started walking out of the living room, with Jack right behind me.

“Good-bye vamps!” I shouted. Which I really didn’t need to.

“Bye! Thanks for not killing us!” Rian shouted back, making me chuckle. I exited the house, and Jack followed suit. I ignored him the whole walk over to my house. I opened the door, and walked in and shut it behind me. I set my stuff down on the table and turned back around. I jumped when I saw Jack was right behind me.

“Forgetting that your brother has already let me in the house?”

“As a matter of fact, I did forget. Now get out.” I said pointing to the door.

“Nah, I’m fine here.” He replied with a grin. I rolled my eyes again, which felt like the tenth time already today.

“Kat? Is that you?” I heard Dallas from the kitchen.

“Yes Dallas! It’s me!” I shouted to him. I heard running footsteps and the next thing I knew I was being crushed by a pair of arms. “Holy fuck! Get the hell off me, Dal!” He pulled away from me and looked at me up and down.

“Didn’t feel like putting your pants on when you woke up?” He asked me.

“You know me so well.” I said with a sarcastic voice. Okay, so maybe I was still pissed off about yesterday.

“Come on Kat, you can’t still be mad at me!” Dallas complained.

“I can, and I am.”

“Whatever. Thanks for getting her home safe, Jack.” He said turning to the thing next to me.

“You were wrong about your sister man, she easily can take care of herself.” Jack said with a chuckle.

“At least something has faith in me.” I muttered. Yes, it may seem like me and my brother have always been close to each other, but we really only started getting close after our parents passed on. Before that, Dallas and I were constantly at each others throats, trying to be the better sibling/child.

“I will always have faith in you, my sweet.” Jack spoke as he placed his lips to my neck. I really hated when he did this. I pushed him back and did a leg sweep, which just led him to doing a backflip and landing on his feet, and me letting out a annoyed sound.

“Nothing happened between you two, did it?” Dallas ask bluntly.

“No. He wishes. But no, it will never fucking happen.” I said as I grabbed my stuff off the table and made my way past my brother and down the hall to my room. Before I could close the door behind me, Jack was already in my room. “Gosh dammit, Jack! Get out!” I shouted.

“Nope.” He said popping the ‘p’ sound.

“I fucking hate you.” I growled.

“Prove it.” He challenged me. I set my stuff down on my floor and walked over to my dresser, pulling a stake out from the top cubby hole. “And what are you going to do with that?” I took one look at it and threw it at him. He caught it right before it went straight through his chest. “Now, Kat, that wasn’t very nice.” In one blink of an eye, Jack had me pinned down to my bed.

“Let me up.” I growled.

“I need to do something first.”

“What? Bite me? Bite yourself and make me drink your fucking blood? Come on! Do it already!” I said as I tried to flip us over so I was on top of him and had the better advantage, but failed before he could do anything. The thing he did, I was not expecting what-so-ever. He smashed his lips onto mine and started kissing me. And I did the unthinkable after a minute.

I started kissing him back.

Notes
