Chapter Eight
Jack
I was packing up my bag. What were Alex and I anyway? I didn't have an answer, I wanted him, like really wanted him. I sighed as I put another folded shirt in the suitcase. I was actually kind of sad, it wasn't because I was leaving, it was because I wanted to be with Alex. I was desperate for his voice, his face, his existence. I frowned at the suit case, I wanted to go see him. Maybe there was something I could do where I could see him.
My phone buzzed from it's spot on the bed. I eagerly grabbed it and saw it was from Alex. I couldn't help but smile at the name on my phone.
Alex G:
I know it's embarrassing but my skype name is Xx_A13xGaskarth_xX.
I laughed out loud. Normally if that's your username you change it by the time you're twenty-one but apparently Alex isn't normal. Did I really want normal anyway?I smiled again and typed out a response.
To Alex G:
From your scene phase?
I only got a frowny face in response but I was certain he knew that I was joking. It was something about me that everyone realized in a few seconds. I put the last of the clothing in the suitcase and zipped it closed.
"You alright Jay," Zack asked.
"I miss him," I muttered.
"What, that Alex kid? You can do better than him."
"I don't want anyone other than him, he's all I want. There is no one better than him because there is nothing better than perfection. I didn't have pointless sex during the party. I'm not sure if it's his innocence that drags me in or something else but he's all I want Zee. Is this how you feel about Steph?"
"I guess, I mean... I love Steph but..."
"You two are perfect for each other. I was certain that, I mean, you two are just perfect."
"If we are we are. If we aren't we aren't. She's awesome yeah but... I just don't know."
I really didn't want to talk about relationships falling apart because I was desperate to start one with this incredible guy. Like, he was so sexy. The way his caramel hair falls in front of his eyes. The emotion in his soft brown eyes. The way his lips were red and puffy after we kissed. They way his awkwardness came through once he allowed it. There wasn't one thing that I didn't adore about the boy. I liked that word, adore.
"You ready to leave Jack," Zack called from the front room.
"Yeah whatever," I muttered.
I didn't want to go to California. There was one place I wanted to go. That's when I had an idea. You're only young and stupid once. Why not take some big chances during that time? I took out my phone and looked up plane tickets. There were some for soon, if I were to leave now I should be able to be on that plane.
"Zack, I'm not going with you," I said suddenly, walking out of the room.
"Jack, where the fuck are you going," Zack yelled.
"Baltimore."

Notes
It's called Chance so I'm going to make Jack take some pretty crazy chances. Love make you do crazy things after all. Zack isn't trying to be rude either, he just wants the best for his best friend. How do you think Alex is going to react to Jack showing up in Baltimore. I also kind of want to imagine Alex in his scene phase (I mention that cause I'm kind of in mine at eighteen...(not ashamed of it either)).
