Chapter One.
Alex's POV
Here I am, in the University of Baltimore. Studying my one true passion, music. I was currently sitting in my music history class just waiting for the bell to go. Today was the kind of day were I just don't give a fuck about anything. My anxiety has been sparked up all day, and I just want to get back to my dorm and put my headphones in and forget about the world. I took my phone out of my pocket to check the time. 1:38pm. The bell should be sounding in twenty-two minutes. To be honest, I don't know if I can make it another two minutes. I have never been the type to just up and leave class, I'm the type that gets straight A's, and I always pay attention. Fuck it, I need to get out. I can't stand it anymore. I stood up from my seat and picked up my bag and flung a strap over my shoulder, and started walking down the row and to the aisle.
"Mr. Gaskarth. Where are you going? Class doesn't end for another twenty minutes." The Professor at the front of the room stated. I kept walking, trying my best to ignore all the stares. Don't freak out Alex. Just keep walking, don't look back. I put my head down to avoid all the stares I was getting. I pushed open the door and walked out. I basically ran down the halls and outside, continuing to pick up my pace the closer I got to my dorm. I finally got to my dorm building and I jetted up the stairs and to my room. I pushed open my dorm room and slammed it behind me, putting my back on the door and sliding down till I was on the ground.
"Alex?" A voice called from in front of me. I shot my head up and saw worry filled eyes of my best, and only friend, Rian.
"I'm fine Ri." I spoke as I put my head in my hands.
"Well, considering you should be in class right now, something tells me you're not alright. Come on, let's get you up." Rian spoke as he bent down and helped me up. of the ground. We walked over to my bed and I sat down on the edge of it, having Rian sit next to me.
"Wanna tell me what's going on?" Rian asked, looking at me.
"Nothing is really going on Rian. It's just one of those days, where my anxiety wants to be a pain in the ass." I said as I fell onto my back on the bed, letting my lower half hang off the edge. I heard Rian release a sigh.
"You really need to get out, Alex." He spoke. "Me, being the best friend I am, is taking you to a party."
"Rian, I don't do parties. I just walked out of my fucking class. The same class I have a exam to take in next week, so I need to study, and only study." I spoke with a groan. You can say I have a strict study habit. If I'm not in class, you can find me in my room with my headphone in, listing to music, and my books open.
"Plus, what makes you think I would go to a party with all the fucking people here? Most of them don't even have a brain, and if they do, it's very small." I spoke again.
"Well good thing the party is not here then. It's in Colorado. If we leave now, we should be able to make it before tomorrow night, when the party is taking place." Rian said as he stood up from my bed.
"What? I'm not leaving the state just to go to some party!" I spoke as I shot up to a sitting position.
"Yes you are, now pack a few outfits and let's go." Rian said throwing a shirt at me.
"No Rian. And how the fuck do you know there is going to be a party in Colorado anyways?" I asked confused.
"The person throwing the party is my cousin. And yes, you are going, so start getting ready. We are leaving in ten minutes." I let out another groan, as I stood up and walked over to my small closet, pulling out a small suitcase and throwing random clothes in it. There was no getting out of it when Rian is acting like this.
