Alex's POV

I brought Wendy to a Green Day concert tonight and I had a good plan. Once we got there I saw their tour manager so I quickly excused myself from Wendy to ask a favor for him. I walked over to him and cleared my throat a little. He quickly turned his attention to me, I felt kind of rude. I looked down at the ground suddenly afraid of my question.

"I'm sorry but can I ask a favor from you," I asked.

"What would the favor be kid," he asked.

"So, I brought this girl and I really like her and I want her to be mine, can you guys help me do something special?"

"Sure kid."

"You're serious?"

"Yeah, Billie will give you a signal. Pray she says yes son, otherwise that's going to be the most awkward moment of your life."

I thanked him and walked back over to my group. Wendy gave me a look, asking me where I was without using words. I just gave her a look telling her it wasn't anything important. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her into my side while we stood there. She laid her head on my shoulder as we waiting, listening to the random conversations around us.

Finally the doors were opened and we all ran into the venue, once our tickets were checked. Wendy pecked my cheek before running to the bathroom. We were standing at the barricade which was so awesome. Kara decided to run off with Wendy, why do girls always have to go to the bathroom together? I just don't get it.

"So, where'd you run off to Lex," Rian asked.

"I asked Green Day for a favor Ri," I responded.

"You did what now," Zack asked in shock.

"You did not," Jack said just as surprised.

"Just you wait and see," I responded proudly.

"There's no way Lex, I'm sorry," Zack said.

"Just wait Zee, you'll see, all of you will see!"

"What will we all see," Wendy asked.

"Whatever you want to see."

"Oh come on Lex, grow up!"

She laughed at my inappropriateness. She thought it was cute. I pushed her in front of me so she was right against the barricade with me standing behind her, as if to protect her. The lights went down for the first opening band, who's name I could not remember, and the crowd erupted into roars. They were really good, they had some really catchy music.

Once they were done the lights went back up. I looked over at the guys who were just as intrigued as I was. That had always been our dream but so far things hadn't been working in our favor.

"We're gonna be doing that one day Wen, you'll be in the crowd looking up at the stage at us you know," I said.

"Sure Alex, more like you'll be standing here for the rest of your life," Kara said from where she was standing in front of Jack.

"Yeah, not sure on that one Lex, I'm pretty sure I'd be side stage," Wendy said.

"You're right Wen, you'd be side stage."

The lights went down again and we heard the music intro to Hitching A Ride. If you thought the arena was loud before this was more than deafening. Wendy was screaming and jumping all excited in front of me. It was adorable to see her this excited. I was also jumping, it felt so nice to be in the crowd.

They went through a few songs, with some banter in between. Suddenly Billie put his hand up and the band was silent.

"So, our tour manager said that a guy wanted to do something for a girl on stage tonight. Come on up here," Billie said sweetly.

The manager was at the barricade and he saw me, helping me onto the stage. I stared out at the crowd and it really seemed to intimidate me. I choked on my words as I grabbed the mic off of the stand. All of my friends were staring up at me with wide eyes.

"So, um, I'm here with the most amazing girl I've ever met, can we get her up here too," I said softly.

The guys helped Wendy up and tour manager helped her onto the stage. She was shaking as she walked over to me on wobbly legs. She covered her mouth as she grabbed onto my arm for support. I gave her a faint smile.

"Lex, what is this," she whispered.

"Isn't she beautiful," I said into the mic. "Well, she is the most incredible girl I've ever met and I wanted to do this here. Wendy, will you be my girlfriend?"

Notes

Well, it's up to Jagk from here. I didn't update yesterday cause I was busy and could only update one story (so I finished Caraphenalia) and I will be unable to update anything tomorrow because I'm out all day. Who thought Alex was going to be that bold?
