The Night Before

They were all standing on the stage, waiting for Jenna to speak up.

She couldn't she didn't know what to say.

She was frozen.

She kept playing it back in her mind, over and over again. What Alex had just said.

"I got a idea! Jenna! Sing Remembering Sunday with me on stage tonight!" Alex said with a huge smile on his face.

Everyone was confused, it was like she was frozen in time or something. Jack took a step next to her.

"Jenna? Are you okay...?" He asked with a worried face. No reply.

Maya took a step over to the frozen girl. "The answer to singing on stage, is a no. She can't do it." She said looking around at everyone.

"Why not? She's a amazing singer." Alex said with a confused face.

"Yes, I know she is, but her anxiety will not let her do it, why do you think we had to stop the band? That and, we all kinda had a falling out." Maya said looking over at the brown-haired boy.

"Jack, do me a favor?"

"What's up Maya?" He asked looking at her.

"Kiss her." She replied back to him.

"Why..?" Jack asked with a questioning face.

"Because, that should be able to snap her out of her frozen state, now just do it." Maya said pointing from him to Jenna.

"Okay..." Jack stood in front of Jenna for about another minute, she looked so lifeless at that moment.

"Fuck it." Jack mumbled to his self.

He lend down to place a kiss on his, very short, girlfriend.

And that did it.

Jenna snapped back to real life, and before she knew what was going on, she took her arms and put them on Jack's shoulders pulling him in closer, so she could deepen the kiss.

"See, it worked." Maya said with a smirk. Jack pulled his lips from Jenna's and looked over at Maya.

"You were right. Or maybe I'm just a good kisser." Jack said with a wink.

"Maya? She's always right." Jenna said looking over Jack's facial features. "But, you are a rather good kisser as well." Jenna said pulling him back to her for another kiss.

"See what you did Maya? Now they are going to be standing here doing this." Matt said pointing at Jack and Jenna. "For the next 10 minutes."

"So? I think it's cute." Maya said smiling.

"I got this!" Alex said as he walked over to Jack, and jumped on his back.

"Oof.." Jack said as he pulled away from Jenna again. "Alex, dude, get the fuck off of me." Jack said rolling his eyes.

"Then stop making out on stage." Alex said still on Jack's back.

"Fine, we will stop, now get the fuck off!" Jack said, again, rolling his eyes. Alex jumped off of Jack's back and smirked.

"Don't look at me like that Miss. Maya." Alex said walking over to her.

"You. Ruined. Their. Moment." She said giving him the death stare.

"Don't worry, knowing these two, they will be back at it within the next 30 minutes." Alex said with a slight laugh.

"Not if I have anything to do with it." Matt said looking over at Jack. "Plus, the show starts in 20 minutes." Matt said to the boys.

"Well, Jenna, you are not leaving this stage, until you agree to sing on stage with me." Alex said looking right into Jenna's eyes.

"I would love to Alex, don't get me wrong, but I can't I will freak out on stage, maybe even before I get on stage." Jenna said looking at the ground, as Jack pulled her into his side.

"Jenna, I promise, we would not let anything happen to you, not even your fucking anxiety. You just got to tell your mind, that this is what you want to do, and that you are going to do. Hell, I still tell my mind the same thing before I go on stage each night, my anxiety is not as bad as it was a few years ago because of it." He said with a smile.

"I..uh...fine..." Jenna said hiding her face in Jack's chest.

"Yes!" Alex ran over to Jenna and picked her up and spun her around while he was hugging her.

"Hey! Put my girlfriend down! Only I can do that!" Jack said with a fake pout. Everyone just laughed at him, even Jenna.

It was about a hour later, and the boys were about to do their last song, Remembering Sunday.

Everyone walked off stage, everyone other than Alex. Alex was talking to the crowd and getting his guitar ready for the song.

"Hey everyone! You guys are fucking amazing, and I would like to play one more song tonight." Alex said as the crowd cheered. "This song is called Remembering Sunday!" Alex said to everyone as he started to play.

On side stage, Matt was getting Jenna ready to go on.

"Just calm down Jenna, you will be fine, I promise." Matt said trying to get her to calm down.

Jack walked over next to them.

"Bunny, you are going to be just fine, Just think of it as, no one is out there, just us, and our friends. The way it was at sound-check today." He said putting his arms around her small frame.
"I'm...I'm just so scared Jack...what if they don't like me? What if I mess-" Jack cut her off.

"Stop it. They are going to love you, and you will not mess up. I'll be right here, side-stage, if you need me beautiful." Jack said as he pulled away from her, so he could look her in the eyes.

"Can you....can you come on stage with me...?" She said looking up at him with hope in her eyes.

"Yeah, sure, I'm sure Alex won't mind." He said smiling down at her. Jenna threw he arms around Jack to give him a big hug.

Alex started to sing the part where Jenna has to walk out on.

Oh, I can see now
That all of these clouds are following me
In my desperate endeavor
To find my whoever, wherever she may be

Jenna looked up at Jack with fear in her eyes again.

"Calm down, you will be perfectly fine, let's go." He said as he took her hand and led her to the stage, the crowd cheered when they saw them.

Alex smiled over at them as he sang his last part before Jenna had to sing.

Jenna was shaking.

Jack held her hand and gave her a little squeeze.

It was time.

Jenna closed her eyes, held the microphone up to her mouth, and sang her heart out.

I'm not coming back, I've done something so terrible
I'm terrified to speak but you'd expect that from me
I'm mixed up, I'll be blunt
Now the rain is just washing you out of my hair
And out of my mind, keeping an eye on the world
So many thousands of feet off the ground

She did it. Perfectly. Jack grabbed Jenna and spun her around in a hug, as Alex smiled and sang the last part of the song.

The crowd went crazy, cheering for Alex, and cheering for Jenna. Alex picked up his microphone and walked over to Jenna and Jack.

"Give it up for the amazing Jenna!" Alex said to the crowd as he put his arm around her. "And I know what you are thinking, is that the same Jenna that had blue and white hair? The one that's dating Jack? Well the answer to that is yes. She just changed up her style a little. Okay, a lot. But, she's still amazing!" Alex said looking over at the blushing Jenna.

"Let's hear it one more time everyone!" Alex said as he pointed the microphone to the crowd.

"You guys were amazing tonight! Thank you all for coming out!" Alex put the microphone back on the stand, and before Jenna could walk off stage with Jack. Alex ran over to her, picked her up, put her over his shoulder and ran off stage.

"Hey! Come back! She's mine! Not yours Alex!" Jack yelled as he ran after them. When they were all off stage, Alex put Jenna down and walked over next to Maya.

"She did amazing, don't you think?" Alex asked looking over at her.

"Yes, she did, I'm so proud of her." Maya said with a smile.

"Jenna! Come here! You were perfect! The crowd loved you!" She said walking over to Jenna and giving her a big hug.

"Okay, Okay, before we congratulate her anymore. I say, let's go back to the bus, and get the after show party started!" Rian said with a little shout.

"Hell yeah!" Alex said after him.

They all got to the bus, and the crew already had lots of alcohol in there.

As the party went on, and the more drunk people got, Alex and Jack being the most drunk.

Jenna only had one beer to calm herself down. Maya was a little tipsy. And the rest of the band, Zack and Rian, were already pasted out in their own bunks.

The crew was up and dancing around, laughing, having a good old time.

Jack, being as drunk as he was, grabbed Jenna's hand, and took her to the bunk area. He started kissing her and they fell into the bunk together.

"Jack, I can't do this..." Jenna said as she sat back up, pushing Jack off of her small frame.

"Why not?" Jack asked slurring his words.

"Because I'm just not ready...I want to wait till I'm married....to do something like that with the person who I'm meant to be with..." She replied putting her head down.

Jack put his fingers under her chin and lifted up her head.

"That's fine, I can wait." He said smiling at her.

"Really?" She asked looking with hope filled eyes.

"Yeah! But till then, let's go party!" Jack said as he took her hand and they walked back out to the party.

It was not long, until Alex grabbed Maya's hand, and lend her to the bunk area, once they got there, Alex brought her to his bunk, kissing non-stop.
