Sacrifice

Jacks POV

Something was up with Alex.
I don't know what but since the other night he's been on edge all the time.
"What's up Alex?" I asked as Alex was making food.
"Nothing." Alex replied focusing on the food he was cooking.
"There is. I might not be able to get inside your head but I can read your aura and its changed." I said sitting on the counter sort of helping Alex but I was really getting in the way.
"Fine. You know the other night when I said something woke me up." He said looking at me leaning on the counter.
"Yeah, the night you pushed me out of the bed." I grumbled.
Alex smiled a little about that.
"Well you'll think I'm crazy anyway, but I saw Lily standing at the end of the bed and she wrote something down and threw it at me and it said danger. I looked up to ask her what it mean but she was gone." Alex said and got back to doing whatever he was doing.
I had to think a little.

I must of been thinking hard because the next thing I knew I was being shouted at by Alex.
"I KNEW YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE ME!"
"Alex let me...." I didn't even finish my sentence.
" NO! YOU THINK IM CRAZY! IM NOT CRAZY JACK! SHE WAS STANDING RIGHT AT THE END OF THE BED!" Alex shouted pacing round the kitchen pulling his hair a little.
Maybe the Spirit has got to him a little.
That was a big mistake to think.
"THE SPIRIT HAS NOT GOT TO ME! IF IT HAD I WOULD BE IN CRAZY LAND LIKE YOU!' He shouted but then stopped when he realized what he said.
"Jack I'm..." I put my hand up and stopped him.
"Save it Alex." I said hurt in my voice.
I knew Alex could feel the hurt what I was feeling but I didn't care, what he said hurt so much it was unreal.
I had to leave the room before I said something I would regret.
I went upstairs out off the way.
All I could hear downstairs was Alex breaking a load of stuff and shouting at himself.
I would off gone down to him but I was hurt and upset of what he said.

I can't help out of the Spirit drives me crazy, I didn't want to be a Spirit user I would of been happy being a Earth user or something. I was a monster compared to other creatures, I wanted people to know I wasn't a monster guess my plan failed when I, I mean Alex, killed Robert. Fuck sake this trip was a load of shit. They've found us. Such a good job I'm doing at protecting Alex. I can't do this anymore. Maybe they where right maybe I should of been a demon all that time ago, but I was better than that, maybe I'm just like them. Just pure evil.

I was thinking hard and getting more and more upset about everything that I picked up the first thing I could and threw it hard.
"GO AWAY! I DONT WANT THIS! IVE NEVER WANTED THIS! LEAVE ME ALONE!" I shouted and sunk to the floor and cried.
I didn't hear Alex come in the room.
"Jack?" He said as moved more into the room.
"Leave me alone." I growled.
"No. Your upset because of me and I'm going to sort this out." Alex said sitting next to me.
I moved away.
I didnt need a bond to see or feel the hurt which washed over Alex.
I also sent stuff through the bond.
"Fine. I give up! I only wanted to help." Alex snapped and walked out the door slamming it behind him and leaving me alone.

I haven't seen Alex for the rest of the day.
We never fought not like this, we always made up after an hour or so if we did.
But something was wrong.
Something was pushing us both over the edge I would say it was Spirit but I just don't know.
Whatever it was it was affecting the both off us.
I got up from where I was sitting and went to look for Alex.
"Alex?" I said as I walked out the door.
I saw that Lily's door was open and I heard faint sobbing in the room so I guessed Alex was in there.
I walked over and got to the door way but was stopped.
"What?" I questioned myself.
"Alex?" I said loudly.
Thats when I saw it.
Alex wasn't crazy, he was far from it.

"Lily?" I said as I saw the figure in the door way.
She smiled at the fact I knew her name.
Unlike with Alex she spoke to me.
"You hurt him." She said in a small sad voice.
"I didn't mean to!" I said back.
"That's what they said, but they lied." she said looking into the room.
"Is Alex in there?" I asked .
"Maybe, but I need an answer why did you hurt him like they hurt him Jack?" She said looking back at me.
"Who is they? I'm confused Lily he never mentioned being hurt by someone." I said hoping she would explain a little bit.
" Peter and Ross. They said they would never hurt him. But they lied, they hurt him so much that he was broken. He nearly joined me, but he didn't, he found you Jack. You're putting the broken pieces back together." She explained a little.
I looked at Lily.
She still looked how Alex explained how she died to me.
"I never meant to hurt him." I said sadness filling my voice.
"I know you didn't Jack, I know the Spirit is pushing you badly, let Alex help you Jack. Before its too late." With that she disappeared and I was able to walk into the room.

I found Alex.
He was sat on Lilys bed crying a little.
I went round the otherside and climbed onto the bed and hugged him from behind.
" I'm sorry Alex." I whispered and kissed the top of his head.
"No I should be the one saying sorry Jack." Alex said turning over so he could see me.
"I'm sorry." He said looking deep into my eye then looked away.
I knew he meant it.
"I forgive you." I said and kissed his lips softly.
He returned it with a smile.
I looked up and i saw Lily smiling.
"I'll be watching." She said and disappeared.

After a while we got out of Lily's room and went downstairs.
" Fuck how am I going to explain this to mum?" Alex said looking round the room.
"That's a good question." I said as I walked into into the kitchen.
The room was a mess. Plates all broken on the floor, everything was on the floor including our food.
"Fuck sake I'm gonna be in the shit for this." He muttered.
" It can't happen, not again." He carried on muttering and rushed into the room and begun to tidy it up the best he could.
I looked at his aura is was showing me that fear was going through his body.
"Help me Jack please!" Alex was literally begging me to help him.
"Okay." I said.

We finished just before Alex's parents came home.
"How am I going to explain the broken plates?" Alex muttered to himself.
" You don't have to. I fixed them for you." I whispered in his ear.
Alex looked at me and relief washed over him.
Alex pulled me into a hug
"Thank you." He whispered into my chest.
I just smiled and return the hug.
