Warped Prom
*Saturday, Second to last day of Warped Tour*
Alex POV
Saturday, the day everybody dreaded, I think it’s obvious why. It means we’re all one day away from not seeing our friends unless we’re touring with them. It means that whatever’s been happening with Nelly and me will get so much more complicated when I leave three weeks from today to go on All Time Low’s headlining tour with our unknown support band.
Standing next to Jack, I looked in the mirror and was satisfied with what I saw. We were both in suits and dressed to impress. I had my hair more normal looking than normal, meaning it’s neat for a change, and Jack’s was still messily stylish. My suit was a silver color and I had on a black tie with a couple of vertical silver stripes. Jack’s suit was a black color with a black tie too but without the stripes. “Man with we sexy!” Jack yelled breaking me out of my trance.
“I know. We’re hot shit, now let’s go get our girls.” I told him and we walked off of All Time Low’s bus and walked to the bus across from ours, My Tears of Pain’s bus. Jack and I’s dates were getting ready together and it was a good thing they got along. Tay, from We Are The In Crowd, cousin came along halfway through the tour, roughly after Nelly and I kissed for the second time. Tonia, Tay’s cousin, and Jack hit it off pretty good and now here we are, all going to Warped Prom together.
I figured knocking on the door instead of putting the code in seemed appropriate for this occasion and Jack didn’t object so I assumed he thought so too. Answering the door was Astro. “What’s up man?” I asked him as Jack and I got on the bus, he shrugged and followed behind us.
“Nothing much, the girls are almost ready, putting the so called ‘finishing touches’ on their outfits and makeup.” He told us and we all sat on the couch and talked until the girls called out that they were ready. We stood up and moved to the end of the hall and waited for them to come out of the back lounge.
First came Tonia, she walked slowly, smoothly, and purposely. Her dress reached just before her knees and her heels made her about 2 inches taller, efficiently putting her to Jack’s nose, good choice. I nodded in approval and gave her a hug. “You look wonderful.” I told her and she laughed.
“Then wait until you girl comes out.” She whispered in my ear and I nodded. We broke apart and Jack swept her up into a hug. I waited patiently for Nelly to come out and after about five minutes she finally did.
She walked with a longer stride but otherwise her walk was the same as Tonia’s. Her dress stopped about a little after mid-thigh in the front but in the back it reached to her ankles in see-through material. Her heels were the same height as Tonia’s, and were black. She had little makeup on, which I was happy about she didn’t a lot of makeup, and she wore the necklace I gave her, just days before today. I picked her up into a hug. “You look beautiful.” I told her letting her go and making her do a graceful twirl for me.
“Thanks, you clean up nice.” Nelly told me and I smiled. I held my arm out to her, waiting for her to take it.
“Ready to go?” I asked her, after she hooked her arm through mines. She nodded and I called over to Jack and Tonia, “We’re leaving!” They mirrored Nelly and mines position and we walked off the bus and into the venue. Before we even got inside I could hear the music and already I could feel as if this is going to be the best thing that happened all tour, ya know besides kissing Nelly. Speaking of, I still haven’t asked her to be my girlfriend, but I’m steady working up the nerve and it’s a nerve-wrecking experience.
We walked into the venue, and we all immediately headed over to the drinks. “What can I get you?” The bartender asked us looking at Nelly, a little longer than I’d like.
“What do you want Nelly and Tonia?” I asked them because I already knew what Jack would want and I knew I wanted something that wasn’t strong enough to get me anywhere near shitfaced, because I’m DW, designated walker, for the night.
“Can I get a Punch in the Pants?” Nelly asked and the bartender went to work making it.
“Can I get a Fuck Me in the Ass Sideways?” Tonia asked, and Jack and I started laughing. “Really guys?” Tonia asked and we didn’t stop laughing so she huffed and pouted.
“Sorry.” I forced out while I was still laughing at her drink of choice.
“Fine, I forgive you.” Tonia said and about time we finished laughing their drinks were done.
“Can he get a Sex in the Shower? And can I get a Tie Me to the Bedpost?” I asked him, trying to keep a straight faced. “Who came up with these drink names? Because if I was able to take a sip of my drink and it’d happen I’ll be extremely thankful.” I said to nobody in particular.
He bartender shrugged and handed Jack and I our drinks. “Here you go.” He said and I paid the $20 to him and we walked away to a table somewhere near the makeshift dance floor. We sipped our drinks for a while before I asked Nelly to dance, to the current slow song that was playing. It was All My Life by K-Ci and JoJo and I remembered it was Nelly’s favorite slow song to dance to.
“You remembered?” Nelly asked shocked and I nodded with a smile. It didn’t matter to me that she thought I’d forget because she looked happy as hell in this moment and I didn’t want anything to ruin this. Too bad, that didn’t happen, huh?

Notes
First, I will never be away for five days... ever again unless it's important. This wasn't though, I just wanted a break from writing and to just listen to music and be lazy all day.Second, FEEDBACK! I thrive off of it for this story and it would make me very happy to get some comments and votes and new subscribers! :)
Third, I made it Warped Prom so I can finally put Nelly in this dress I saw and fell in love with, lol, living through my charcter. And this is a 2 part chapter! :)
Fourth, those drinks were real drinks! My cousin made them and let me try them... some were strong, so I had to hide out and sleep it off, safe to say I had the worst headache ever.
