All I Ever Wanted

"Wake up!" I jumped, opening my eyes and rubbing them to see who had woken me up.

"Noah?" I asked, getting out of bed. I stood in front of him with my arms crossed.

"Who is that? And why is he here?" He asked. I sighed as Alex started to wake up, and I put on a pair of shorts.

"Why does it matter? You... whatever. Just leave," I said quietly. I looked up at Noah, and he narrowed his eyes at me, something he did when he knew I knew something he didn't.

"You don't remember anything from last night?" I asked just as Alex sat up and stretched. Noah shook his head.

"Dude, you hooked up with my girlfriend. We both saw it," Alex said. I crossed my arms over my chest and raised my eyebrows.

"I'd like it if you left," I said, pointing to the door of my bedroom. Noah looked at me hopelessly. He was truly a nice guy, but alcohol was not his friend last night.

"Can we still be friends at least?" Noah asked. I shook my head.

"I don't think that's a good idea. Goodbye, Noah," I said softly. He stepped past me, and I turned to watch him leave. Once he was gone, I turned back to face Alex, who had a sympathetic look on his face.

"That break up was too easy. I should be bawling my eyes out, right now, but I'm not," I said quietly as I sat myself down on my bed. Alex rubbed my back gently.

"If it'll make you feel better... I can take you out for breakfast. How does that sound?" I smiled.

"I uh... I have some thinking to do. Maybe another time. Do you have a ride home?" I asked him. He nodded.

"Yeah. I'll just call my friend Jack." Alex got out of bed and quickly put his clothes back on. He fished his phone out of his pants pocket, and he held it up to his ear and waited silently. When he hung up, I followed him out to the living room.

"What's your last name?" I asked, and he turned around and smiled at me.

"Gasksarth," he replied.

"What do you do for a living, Gaskarth?" I asked. His smile grew wider at my question.

"That's for me to know, and you to find out. Jack texted me. He's waiting outside," Alex said. I followed him out of the door.

"No seriously! What do you do for a living?" I asked him as I followed him down the pathway of my house. He turned and walked backwards with a smile.

"Go on a date with me, and you'll find out," he said with a wink. I smiled.

"You're on, Gaskarth. I'll find out what you do. There's this thing called the internet!" I said loudly as he got in his friend's car.

"I'll hold you to it, Elizabeth!" He yelled to me as they took off. I stood there blushing like mad as they rounded the corner, and once they were gone, I turned and headed back inside. I closed and locked the door behind me, and I slumped down onto the couch with my laptop, and I googled his name.

My eyes widened at the results, and I clicked on pictures. The page was full of just Alex Gaskarth, and some other guys. One of them looked like the friend that had picked him up. I went back to the web results, and I clicked on his Wikipedia page. But before it could load, my WiFi went out, and I groaned.

"Just as I was about to get to the good part!" I said loudly.

"What are you doing!? Watching porn!?" Tori yelled. I could hear Dan laughing, and I smirked.

"Yeah! I'm watching so much gay porn, Tori! You'd love it!" I yelled back. I shook my head and closed the laptop, and I set it on the coffee table in front of me. Great. Now how was I supposed to find out what Mr. Gaskarth does for a living? All I knew was that somehow.. someway he was famous. But what did he do!?

"This is gonna kill me," I muttered.

I was finally able to get back on the internet three hours later, and when I did, I waited agonizingly slow for Alex's Wikipedia page to load. And when it did, I was very excited. I read the first paragraph, and I smiled wide.

"So, he's the vocalist for All Time Low, huh? What do they sound like?" I asked myself quietly. I opened Spotify, and I typed the band name into the search bar, and I went to their discography. I clicked on their latest release, Something's Gotta Give, and I played the song, making sure my volume was on.

By the time the song was over, I was beyond impressed. He was a great singer, and the song was amazing. So I opened up Twitter and found him easily, and I sent him a tweet, telling him that he's got an amazing voice accompanied by a winky face. He replied ten minutes later, asking me who I was because my username was not my name. It was something I completely came up with, and I felt dumb now. I followed him, and then I sent him another tweet with my name and nickname in parentheses.

It was five minutes when he followed me back and sent me a direct message.

I smiled and typed out my reply, sending it quickly. After, he sent me another message asking if I wanted to go out for coffee tomorrow, so I said yes and told him I had to go. I then shut my computer down and went to the kitchen to get something to eat.

I wonder what a date with a somewhat famous guy would be like.
