Let It Roll
Chapter 11
Unsure where to sleep but very tired, I walk up to Flyzik and just when I'm about to speak up, my voice stops. Oh my God, not the nerves again.
"Hey Flyzik, where am I supposed to sleep?" I ask him nervously. "I'm a little tired and want to get some shut eye."
"Oh, sorry about that. I thought I already told you." He answers. He then leads me over to all of the bunks in the middle area of the bus. "Lucky for you, we had an extra bunk that we were just using to hold our stuff, but we decided to throw it all in the back lounge and give you your own bunk and it's right here." He then opens up the bunk showing how it's set up.
"Aww, you guys didn't have to do that." I respond. "Thank you so much." I walk into the bathroom to quickly wash up and change into my pajamas before getting in bed. As soon as I lay in the bunk, I feel myself begin to get very tired. This bunk is definitely more comfortable than I expected it to be. I plug my phone into the outlet along the wall and fall asleep for the night.
As I wake up the next morning, I notice that I got better sleep than I have had in a very long time. I look over at my phone when I see that I have a lot more messages than I normally do. Opening the first one I saw that wasn't a twitter, I instantly gasp while still staying quiet knowing that the others might still be sleeping. I had a message from my mother from last night that I never saw because of Jingle Bell Bash. In fact, I didn't just have a message, I had multiple messages from her.
*Where are you? We're you the one that left the house?* And then there was another one. *Hello? I'd like to know where you went. Message me when you get this* And lastly a more agitated sounding one. *Do you think because kicked you out that means you can ignore me?*
Now to confront her and give you the update.
*Woah mom. I'm sorry but I wasn't ignoring you. >.> I was super busy last night. For the update; All Time Low was at the door. I told them how you and dad told me to find a place on my own and they happened to be in Seattle so they came and got me. I was at Jingle Bell Bash last night which is why I ended up not seeing your texts till now. I'm really sorry if you don't approve this but I'm going to be moving all the way to Baltimore. The guys all know I won't be able to get a place on my own this young, so they are letting me come living with them. I'll try to come back once in a while if I can.* I begin to stress out over the fact that I may not be seeing my family for a while, but I decide to try and push it aside by looking at my other texts.
*Holy crap, you're part of All Time Low's family? What?!* A text I received from Rachel that I met at the show back in November. I respond with an explanation to why I'm here, as I do to all the other friends that texted me about it. Finally, I get caught with my texts when I receive a text from my mom.
* :( Well I'm really upset you won't be near me, but if it's best for you, I can deal with it. Your dad may not be too fond of that, but I guess there's really not much we can do. Glad the band is being there for you.* I give her thanks and decide to get out of the bunk and walk away from my phone to eliminate any and all stress. I walk up to the front lounge to see all of them, band and crew, hanging out, watching TV and talking to each other.
"Well hey there sleepy head." Vinny smiles. "How you feeling?"
"I'm fine." I answer softly. "Parents are trying to stress me out about everything going on, but I'm fine."
"How?" Alex asks me concerned, wrapping his arm around me as I sit next to him.
"I told my mom what is going on as far as where I'll be living since I didn't get to tell her last night and she started saying she's going to miss me while I'm in Baltimore and it's just going to be stressful to be away from m family." I explain.
"Well, you can always go visit them whenever you want." Zack says.
"Yeah, I mean we tour enough times out of the year that you could always go see her when we're in Seattle, and we can make sure we get days off in Seattle too." Rian tells me.
"Yeah, I'd like that." I answer. We continue about our day, stopping occasionally to see landmarks on the drive home or to eat. When we aren't stopped at a landmark or eating, we're driving home. It feels very weird to be trapped on a bus and actually sleep on it. I'm used to hotels and it'll be weird to not sleep in them as often.
It only took us the rest of the day along with some of the following morning to get back into Maryland. As we're coming close to Baltimore, a realization comes to me. They don't all live together, obviously. I spend a lot of my time in the front lounge chilling out with the boys avoiding all the drama on my phone.
"Guys, I just realized something." I say, coming to a short pause. "Where exactly am I going to live?"
"With me." Alex tells me. "I have an extra room you can sleep in."
"Though I'm sure his bed will end up being shared." Jack jokes.
"Highly doubtful bro." Alex laughs. "But I figured you'd be most comfortable with that when it comes down to living with one of us with the baby."
"Yeah, it makes the most sense for sure." I respond. It wasn't long before we were in Baltimore and we all were back home with the boys' families. As we pull up to Alex's house, him and I begin to get all of our bags together before heading into the house.
