There were Simpler days

The taxi pulls up outside the bus, I hug jack on my way out the door.
“I’ll see you guys later.” I nod and hug Alex, I peck his cheek as I pull away. I Matt holds his hand out to me, I take it and squeeze it gently smiling.
“I’ll walk you to the car.” He smiles at me and drops my hand, I walk a step ahead of him and glance back at him.
“Thanks.” I open the back door of the car and lean against it. Matt smiles at me and leans against the side of the car. “Thank you for having me over. This has probably been the best day slash eighteen hours of my life.” Matt chuckles and looks at the bus.
“Come on, there’s a week left of the tour, We’ll be over to pick you up at noon.” He smiles at me, “You’re coming with us.” I laugh to myself and look down.
“We’ll see what my mom says.” I smile and get on my toes pecking his cheek before ducking into the cab. I watch him through the window, He walks up to the drivers window and pays the driver. “Let me cover this one.” I smile at him and wave as the car pulls away.
I close my eyes indulging myself in music for a while.
The cabby pulls up infront of my house I nod to him and give him a awkward goodbye. I jog up to my front door and push myself inside. My mom stands in the front hall glaring at me.
