I look around at the five of them; Rian takes the bill and hands his credit card to the woman.
“I… I don’t know.” I stutter slightly, Jack shrugs.
“Why the hell not? What’s there to loose?”
“Firstly, my mom would never go for it.” I sigh and look down at my food, then back up at them. “I could ask, but no guarantees. She’d first have to be sober enough to think about it. Then I’d have to convince her that it’s safe to run away for a week with like ten grown men for a week traveling across America.” I frown and flick a fry witch hits jack. I grimace and he throws it back at me. I let a small smile go.
“What about your dad.” Alex asks “W could talk to one the then the other.” I look up at him and shake my head.
“That’s really not possible.” I mutter
“Well.” Rian laughs, “If your mom’s drunk there’ll be no problem.” He smiles, “I know how to convince a drunk.” I smile abit at him.
“Thanks.” I reach my arm over and touch his hand witch rests on my shoulder.
“How about this; you spend the night with us. See how you like it. Matt will email your teachers. Tomorrow we will drive the bus over to your house. Force your mom to allow us to take you. Make a scene so she can’t say no.” He smiles at me and rubs my shoulder.
Matt looks slightly less enthused at the idea but nods.
“Okay. I guess we have our plan then.”
