I sigh and sit on my front porch clutching my cell phone, he never calls me. Even when he promises to. I’ve learned not to trust him anymore, not with anything responsible or reasonable, He is my best friend. He lives overseas and is named Sam. I love him you know, But only as a friend and we are both okay with that. I shrug to get up to go inside my house. Quickly jog up to my room to evade my mother. As soon as I reach my room I throw myself on my flowery bed, the bed I’ve had since childhood but haven’t bothered my mother enough to wake herself from her drunken stupor to replace.
I close my eyes and plug my headphones in, just listening to whatever music comes on. Not entirely in the mood to care. Might as well just take this as my opportunity to take the time to escape my little world. I smile slightly to myself as No time to bleed- Suicide Silence comes on. I don’t entirely know why I like this music but it always works for me. When I’m not in a lighter kind of mood.
I listen to music religiously. But I don’t really know really any other people that listen to the same kind of music as I do. The people that I do know aren’t really my friends and I don’t really talk to them that often. The people that I do know that are from the same fanbase or similar fanbases as me are purely on the internet to me. I don’t even know all of their real names. Let alone their faces.
I sigh and roll on my side kicking off my pants, I might as well get my ‘beauty sleep’ before school tomorrow.
