Alex felt Jack smile against his chest. "Really now?" Jack asked him.

"Really," Alex laughed, kissing the top of Jack's head. Jack giggled, beyond happy.

Then, his feelings changed when he remembered the girl's existence. The girl that had kept them from one another this whole time. The girl, he realized, that Alex still loved. "What about Lisa?" Jack asked, trying but failing to disguise his disappointment. Alex sighed, moving one hand off of Jack's back to his head, ruffling Jack's hair.

"I'm scared, Jack," He whispered.

"Why, Lex?" Jack replied quietly.

"What if she finds out and hurts me? Even worse, what if she hurts you? I can't let that happen. You've seen her get mad at me, she's even hit me before!" Alex frustratingly exclaimed. Silence enveloped the room, Jack waiting for Alex to continue, Alex not sure if he should.

A few minutes later, Alex finally worked up the courage to continue. "I don't love her. I love you. I've always loved you. I just don't want either of us to get hurt, especially not you. You mean too much to me. I could never let that happen. Plus, how the hell am I supposed to tell her? Oh, by the way, I'm in love with my best friend! Also, you're an asshole!"

"I understand, Lex. The longer you wait, the worse it'll be. You need to tell her soon. If you need me with you, I will definitely be there. I don't want to keep this a secret. I want more from you than just sex. I want to be able to call you mine." Jack said, and with that he got out of the shower. He put on his clothes, kissed Alex, and left.

Jack was happy. Happier than he had been in what felt like years. It was possible that he and Alex could become a thing! It was wondrous. He just hoped Alex told Lisa soon, he couldn't wait much longer.

He walked over to the couch, everyone stared at him. He had completely forgot about his outburst from earlier. "Everything is okay now. Don't worry! I love you, guys," He smiled. They were all a bit shocked, but they let it go.

The crew, band, and Lisa watched movies together, chatting at the boring parts, laughing at the good parts. Alex joined them an hour or so later, sitting beside Lisa and Jack. Jack was covered in a blanket.

"Hey! Share!" Alex shouted, pulling half the blanket on top of himself. Jack would've resisted if it weren't for Alex grabbing his hand under the blanket. Jack squeezed Alex's hand, Alex squeezed back in return. Rian got up and turned the lights off. Jack silently thanked him. No one would see his goofy grin and question him this way.

A few hours later, they were on stage. They joked around as usual, Jack grabbed Alex's ass, Zack did some cool ass jumps, Rian played beautifully, and Alex kissed Jack. Except, this time it was different. Alex had cupped his cheek, twinned his fingers in Jack's hair, and kissed him hard. He had felt butterflies.

That wasn't their normal stage routine, but Jack was even happier than before. They had played magnificently, the crowd was crazy, and everyone felt amazing after the show. It was a great night.

Until Lisa approached Alex.
