Ch.8: Call Me Little Maid
Nyssa's POV:
I was scrubbing the stall that a girl just recently got sick in. She decided to steel one of her "customers" drugs last night, and well the end result was her getting sick and I was the one who got stuck with cleaning it up.
I finish cleaning the stall and throw away the rubber gloves, those were no longer good after that clean up.
"Mr. Gaskarth wants to see you Nyssa," I hear Rocket say. I nod and clean myself up a bit and look in one of the mirrors. I looked decent enough for Mr. Gaskarth. The dress was the biggest flaw right now. I wasn't wearing make-up, and my hair looked messy. But what did he expect from me? He knows I been cleaning all day. He's the one who gave me my chores.
I walk up the two stair cases and knock on Mr. Gaskarth's office door. "Come in," I hear Allison speak up. I walk in and I see Mr. Gaskarth waiting for me. "Glad to see your here Nyssa. Come with me." He walks past me and I stare up at him. "Come on," he groans and pulls me out.
We start walking up the hall to Jack's office. My throat dried up. I thought I didn't have to come here. I thought they didn't want me. I only based it off from the fact that I heard Mr. Gaskarth say that he would see me in afew days. It been 8 since I been here.
We reach his door, mr. Gaskarth still having a firm hold on my arm. He knocks, "come in," I hear a males voice in the room. Mr. Gaskarth open the door and we walk in.
A man sitting at the desk looks up at me, giving me a half smile with no emotion. He had cold dark eyes, dark raven hair, tanned skin, everything about him seemed mean and cold. That he carried no emotion within his body.
"Sit her down Alex, I want her to be comfortable and not be scared of me during our first meeting." Alex sits me on the chair in front of his desk and I look down into my lap. "Alone Alex," Jack says frustrated. I hear Alex open the door and close. Leaving me and Jack alone.
I gulp, and my throat felt dryer then before.
"So Nyssa, how was your first week here?" I shrug. "You know, it is not polite to not look into another person's eyes when they are speaking straight towards you." I slowly look up at him, he was giving me another cold smile.
"Very good. So, how was it?" I shrug again. He knows how my week has been. "I am sorry for what Alex did to you on your second day here. I told him to go slow with you, but he did not lesson," he lets out a deep sigh and shakes his head.
He looks back up at me, "so Nyssa. I see that Alex gave you maid job." "Ye-yes sir." "What are your favorite shows?" I gave him questioning look. "I just want to know, to see if we have similar interests." "Um.. Pretty Little Liars... Ghost Adventures... Soul Eater..-" "What is Soul Eater?" "A anime sir." "From Japan?" "Ye-yes."
He leans back in his chair and smiles, resting his chin on his hand. "I see, interesting. That is a first for my girls here. Come with me."
He stands up and I get up when he walks past me. He opens the door for me, I avoid eye contact and walk out. I wait for him and I walk with him by his side. Something inside tells me that I should be good as much as possible.
We keep walking, and people started to look at us when we passed them. "Good evening Mr. Barakat," a few people say. "Ladies, call me Jack," he grins at them. "Yes sir," they say shaky and run off. This made me even more scared.
We walk to Ms. Niessa's dance studio where some people were. "Out," Jack says calmly. People were out of the room within 10 seconds. Ms. Niessa walks out of her office, "Jack. I have not seen you down here in a while. How may I help you?" "I am here to give Nyssa her costume. I already have in mind what her stage name will be." "What is the costume then?" "The one that we have never used before. I think it will be perfect for Nyssa."
Ms. Niessa nods and walks over to the costumes closet. She searches and searches and pulls out a pink Japanese maid costume, and the sluttier version of it in black.
I think I was about to pass out. Yes, I love anime. I am obsessed with it. I always wanted a Japanese maid costume. But not this. Not in this form. Not being used this way.
"You will wear your hair in pigtails with some ribbon tying it up, and do your make the maid way. I assume you know how. You will wear the pink dress while performing, and well, I think you can guess when you will wear the outfit," Jack grins down at me.
"Can you speak in a cute voice?" "Yes sir," I say cutely. He nods, "know any Japanese?" "Yes sir, I know multiple sayings," I say in Japanese. "What did you say?" "Yes, I know multiple sayings," I say in English.
He smiles even more, colder and darker then the last one. "I love it. I finally have myself a Japanese maid. I want to see the first dress on you."
Ms. Niessa takes me to her office to change. "I am sorry about this Nyssa, I never thought he would ever use that costume," Ms. Niessa whispers. "I want to see her in one minute!!!," Jack yells. We quickly put the dress on me and I walk out. He smiles at me, "turn?" I slowly turn, "I love it. Its perfect. I knew she woudl be perfect for this outfit. Your stage name shall be... Little Maid. My little maid," he grins.
