~Alex's POV~

"Are you ready?" I asked Jack as I pulled my jacket on.

"Yeah, come on, let's go." He sent a quick smile my way and we headed towards town on foot, it was only about a ten minute walk. Today I was going to buy a car, and I was excited. I kinda had in mind what I was looking for, but I wasn't sure of an exact model or anything.

We reached the car dealers, and a sales assistant approached us right away. "Can I help you?" He asked, grinning a bit too widely. Don't get me wrong, I love happy people, but he was overly happy.

"Yeah, we're just looking. If anything catches our eyes we will let you know." I nodded his way and took Jack's hand, browsing through the many cars they had parked in lanes outside the store.

Jack loved cars, he practically stopped to look at every one with awe. I, on the other hand, wasn't so interested. Cars weren't really my thing. I just wanted something cute.

"Oh my god Jack this one!" I spotted a car and dragged Jack over to it. "I love it. I'm going to get this one."

"You can't just decide like that. Go and sit in it, get the vibes." Jack nudged me towards the car. It was a cream Fiat 500C, with a red soft top. It was adorable.

I opened the driver's door and took a seat. I sunk into the leather seats, it was so comfy.

"Jack, get in!" I gestured to the seat next to me and Jack walked to the other side and got into the vehicle.

"I like it, Lex. It's.. You." He smiled and leaned over to kiss me. He pulled away, but kept close enough that I could feel his breath and his slight stubble. "It's quite small though, how are we going to pull off the sex in this thing?"

"God, it's always about sex with you!" I laughed, kissing him again. "I guess we will just have to find a way. You're pretty flexible, I could bend you over."

"Who said you were topping?" He smirked.

"Shut up." I laughed again, just as there was a knock on the window. It was the sales assistant. I wound my window down, looking down so my fringe covered my now scarlet cheeks.

"Do you like the car?" He asked, still smiling.

"Yes, we love it." Jack leaned over so the man could see him, and gave a polite smile.

"Would you like to take it on a test run?"

"Yes, of course, thank you." I replied.

"Great! I'll go and get the keys for you, Sir." The man walked back into the main building. A few minutes later, he came back, but knocking on Jay's window instead. "Excuse me, Sir, I'm afraid you will have to sit in the back. Due to safety regulations, I have to sit in the passenger seat."

Jack got out of the car, moving into the seat behind him, huffing.

"You okay there, Jay?" I laughed at him.

"Just dandy." He replied sarcastically. "I wanted to hold your hand."

"We'll have plenty of time for that every other time we drive this thing. Ready?" I looked at the man who was sitting were Jack was previously situated, and he tossed me the keys. I started the ignition, and we set off on our little test run.




I was a little rusty, but after a minute or two, I got the hang of driving again. The vehicle ran so smoothly, and I really enjoyed driving it. Once we returned to the shop, we went inside to complete some forms, and then I paid the necessary amount and we left in our brand new car. Well, mine. I don't think I would ever trust Jack to drive it, after all the stories I've heard from Joyce...

"We're going to need to christen this thing." Jack rubbed my thigh, which turned me on just a little bit.

"Later." I said, and Jack sighed. "We need to go and visit your mom. She was speaking to the police today, wasn't she?"

"Oh yeah. Come on, we only have a bit of time left before visiting hours are over." We headed for the hospital, and it felt so nice to not have to get a taxi.

"Hey, mom." Jack entered Joyce's room, a room that we basically spent all Christmas in.

"Hey boys! How are you both?" Joyce smiled, and we took it in turns to give her a gentle hug.

"We're both good." Jack grinned. "How was the interview?"

"Oh, it was good. The questions weren't too bad, and I told them all I can remember." God, that smile never left the woman's face. I envied her, she was so strong.

"Have you heard any news about John?" Jack sat down, and pulled me onto his knee, seen as there was only one chair in the room.

"They said they've tried contacting him, and they've been to his house, but it looks like no ones home." She said looking down.

"They'll find him, Joyce. The police can find anyone." I reassured her.

"Yeah, we just have to keep hoping, huh? Anyway, how was your day?"

"Oh, it's been great, I've just brought a new car." I smiled widely, wiggling my butt a little to tease Jack.

"Wow, that's wonderful honey! Do you like it Jack?"

A little moan escaped Jack's mouth unexpectedly.

"What was that? I'm getting old dear, you need to speak louder around me!" Joyce tutted.

Jack cleared his throat, giving me a quick death stare. "Yeah, it's really nice, it suits Lex perfectly." He smiled.

"I can't wait to see it! As soon as I get out of here, I'm expecting you to take me out, Alex. We could go shopping!" Joyce let out a small giggle. She always relied on me for fashion tips, so maybe we could make a day out of it sometime.

"That would be great! We're definitely doing that." I smiled, as the conversation flowed on.




"Why were you doing that?" Jack asked as soon as we stepped into the elevator. "I moaned in front of my mom! It's a good job she's part deaf." Jack had a shocked look on his face, but I couldn't keep in my giggles. "I can't believe you. You were making me hard, Lex! Do you know how embarrassing it is to walk through a hospital with a mini boner?" He was waving his arms around frantically. The elevator doors opened, and we stepped out onto the ground floor, heading for the car.

"Don't worry, just hold my waist and I'll walk like, half in front of you. No one can see, anyway. Good job you're wearing jeans that tight, you're restricted a little bit more." I smiled as I unlocked the car and made my way around to the drivers side, hopping in.

I didn't drive home. It was getting dark, and I decided to head for some place quiet, anyone could walk past the car if it was parked outside my house.

"Where are we going?" Jack asked, looking confused.

I smirked. "Time to christen this baby."

Hey, I'm so sorry there wasn't an updat last night! I was just so busy and I didn't have time :( and yeah I'm sorry that it's been Alex's POV for a few chapters in a row, I always write it out and then realise i should of done it in Jack's POV. Oh well, it doesn't really matter, does it?
