"That's not a frog pancake!" Jasey scoffed and pushed away her pancakes .
"I don't care Jasey , not this morning just eat them " she groaned and stabbed her fork in the middle of her pancake , examining it for a poison .

I rolled my eyes and made my way upstairs , tip toning past mom and Howard's room, knowing it couldn't wake them , and knocked softly on Holly's door . I heard a moan as I opened the door letting blinding daylight seep into her room .

"get up Hols "I whispered and shook her . She buried her face into her pillow mumbling a curse
"come on !" I groaned and clutched her wrist , I tugged and pulled until she was hanging off her bed , her other hand clinging into her bed frame for dear life .

"I swear if you don't get up I'm gonna kick you so hard!" I half laughed and half growled .

"fuck off !" She hissed turning her head towards me for a split second

"Holly-May Gardens move your lazy ass now !" She chuckled and kicked me away , I luckily caught my balance and stood behind her .

"it's summer , leave me alone " she smirked and rolled herself back up in her blue duvet

"were meeting the guys today .." I tried , I'd hooked her in , she lifted her head slowly her natural curls flopping over her face .

"when?" She asked suspiciously

"like in an hour or something " I shrugged , I was pulling her in my reel , like a fish . She hesitated before getting up .

I looked behind me , holly was on her phone , smiling every so often it buzzed .
Jack

I thought and rolled my eyes . I then looked down to Jasey who was skipping next to me , her pigtails dancing as she jumped up and down . Her cheeks were rosy from the sun peeking through the fluffy white clouds .

We soon arrived To the park , surprisingly it was empty . The swings creaking in the soft breeze as if ghost children were swinging back and forth on them . Jasey immediately ran to the slide that was shining in the sunlight . Her feet thudding as she took heavy steps to the top . I watched from afar as she swiftly sat down and pushed her self . She squealed as she disappeared Into the darkness of the tunnel , they echoed around us followed by giggles as she popped out the end .

It shouldnt be long until the guy got he-

"hey Wendy " I jumped forward and turned to zack and rian who was smiling softly when they lifted up an overflowing basket .

"please tell me neither Alex or jack was in charge of food.." They laughed and shook their heads . by the time id turned back around a checkered blanket was laid out and Holly and Alex were lazing on the corners . I sat down infront of them keeping a watchful eye on jack and Jasey , those two paired together only ment trouble , not to mention Holly with jack aswell .


We talked mindlessly about about what had happened during the time they were gone , zack often asking questions about Stella , my bestfriend .

We started laying out the picnic zack had made . I was thankful Alex or jack hadn't made it , with exception of jacks AMAZING meatballs , they were terrible at cooking . I could remember everytime I'd let them cook , they were just .... Terrible everything was over cooked and bitter .

I peeled led away the cling film from the numerous platters of food zack had made .

"JASE! Lunch !" She flashed her head around and sprinted towards us , launching into the blanket . She snatched a paper plate from the pile and started piling on the food . We all watched her laughing as she shoved a whole slice of a
cheese sandwhich Into her mouth . She grinned with delight causing us all to laugh again

"zack makes the best sandwiches !" She cheered after swallowing her mouthful

I gasped dramatically
"zacks sandwhiches are better than mine ? Are you sure ? " I dared . She kept a blank face for a few minutes and took another bite

"no zack is better " she nodded and zack cheered throwing his arm in the air in victory . I looked beside me seeing Holly and Jack snickering at something on her phone , his cheeks were blushing a vibrant red and he stole a quick glance at my sister , his smile growing wider .

The he sun was setting dying the sky a beautiful peach , clouds gathering in the distance . Jasey had fallen asleep on jacks lap , there was only soft breathes in the silence . It was blissful .

"We better get her home " I mumbled and looked to Holly who sighed . I was positive we could easily just sit here for hours talking about nothing and everything .

"Do you want us to take you back?" Alex perked up as I brushed down the dead grass off my skirt .
"No it's fine , il get Howard to pick us up" I said and carefully scooped up Jasey from jacks lap , she stirred in my arms but soon fell back into her dream .

The guys started Packing up and binning the wrappers . I sighed and tried to carry Jasey in a comftable way
"Jeez , she's so heavy I'm blaming you zack!" He winked at me and carried on folding the blanket .

"Here let me take her" Alex lifted her away from me and rested her on his hip , she nuzzled into the Crook of his neck murmuring something ridiculous . He smiled softly and started walking , I followed him and soon caught up so I was walking besides him

"hey um Wendy you wanna stay over tonight ? -" did I want to stay tonight ?

"um yeah sure ... I mean il have to go back and pickup my stuff .." He nodded and chewed on his lip .

"Oh Wendy ! Come in come in !" Mrs Gaskarth ushered me into her house . I stood twirling my duffle bag in my hands , watching it swing like a pendulum .

"Don't just stand there sweetie , go up he's in his room " she offered me a drink , which I felt forced to take after she practically placed it in my hand , I walked upstairs and tried to navigate myself from pure memories .

First on the left

I was praying I had remembered Alex's room correctly and wasn't about to end up in a closet or the bathroom . I heard muffled blink through the door , re assuring me this was the right room . I opened it slowly , Alex was laid out on his bed , a note pad resting on his lap , he tapped his pen against his leg .

"Trust you to be playing blink " I smirked and dumped my bag by his door . He shrugged and scoffed on his bed gesturing me to join him .

I took small steps towards him , my heart racing as I finally sat down .

"What happened to my Wendy ?" He mumbled and placed his notepad on his desk beside his bed
"what do you mean ?"
"You used to be just as bad as jack , what happened to the bubbly Wendy ?"

"nothing.shes still here!" I said slightly offended by Alex's sarcastic sure .
"Prove it , do something spontaneous !" He laughed almost in hope i had become intimidated by his dare .

I shrugged and pulled off my my t shirt , Alex widened his eyes and his cheeks burned red
"spontaneous enough?" I asked . Alex gulped and turned away from me :

"oh come on ! You've seen me in my underwear lex!" I laughed and pulled back on my top .
"Yeah when you wernt a fucking d cup!" He chuckled and smacked my head with a pillow .

"Whatever , my point is I'm still the Wendy you remember " I smiled and pulled out my phone . What he said next made me stop completely ...

"then why arn't you in love with me ?"
