Chloe's Jalex One-Shots

Sickness and Care

Vacations are not Jack's thing.

Sure, getting away is fun, but travelling away from the one you love isn't.

He spent the whole time aboard thinking about his boyfriend, Alex Gaskarth.

He wasn't an obsessive boyfriend, even though the whole vacation said otherwise. He just truly loved Alex with all his heart, and cared so much about him. If anything was to happen to him, he'd be straight over to him, no matter what.

Now their vacation is over. No more listening to another language, no more hotel nights, no more going to the beach everyday. Vacation over.

After packing everything, they were heading to the taxi and off to the plane to come back home.

The car stopped outside his house, Jack instantly getting out, running.

"Jack Bassam Barakat, come back here!" His mum shouted after her son after stepping out the car.

"I can't! I have to go!" He yelled back, turning around and went into a jog as he headed down the street, soon reaching at a door. He opened it, not needing to knock as he's been here plenty of times before. He stepped in, rubbing his shoes against the rug.

"I've got your picture, I'm coming with you. Dear, Alex, where the fuck are you?!" He 'sang' loudly, making his way upstairs.

Nearing Alex's bedroom, Jack hoped to God that he was not masturbating. He's walked in on him too many times. He pushed the door handle, opening the door. Happy to see Alex was not stripped down to nothing with his dick out, even though Jack liked him that way best. He stuttered over to him. He was awake, and looking pale.

"There's a story at the bottom of this bottle, and I'm ill." He coughed, his hand flying over his mouth. The TV was on, showing a programme about millionaire dating. Alex was always into watching weird shit on the TV.

Jack was right up to his side when the coughing fit started, kneeling down and rubbing Alex's cheek to comfort him. He's never seen Alex ill, which was weird as they've been dating for over a year now. Alex was just never the one to get sick. But, like everyone else, he does get sick. But only once or twice a year, and it comes on quite terrible.

After the coughing fit, Alex made grabby hands towards him, looking like he was gonna cry. Jack sighed softly at the sick boy, getting up and crawling into his overly-too-hot bed, and hugged him.

"I missed you." Alex coughed at the end, hugging tighter onto his lovable boyfriend. Jack rubbed his back gently, kissing his hair.

"I missed you, too," He said quietly into Alex's ear, letting the boy rest on his chest. Jack didn't stop complaining to his parents about wanting to go home when they were on vacation. It sort of annoyed them, but they knew that Alex meant a lot to him, so they kept comforting him, telling him "it's a couple more days, hon". Jack even cried to them, whining like a spoilt toddler, all because he wanted his Alex.

It's not like Jack is overly obsessed with Alex, surprisingly, because sometimes he likes to give himself and Alex a break. But the next time he comes back up to his house, it's the same exciting, amazing feeling he gets like the first ever time they met, but stronger. And Alex was the same.He honestly wanted to live the rest of his life with him.

They were sat in silence, enjoying each others' much needed company after being apart for two whole weeks. That was until Alex sneezed loudly, startling Jack. Sneeze after sneeze, after sneeze. Jack started to get a bit worried.

"Alex...did you take any medicine, y'know, to help with the sickness?" He chewed down on his bottom lip. It was honestly quite worrying seeing his boyfriend like this, and like the paranoid freak he is, thinks it's the end of the world, and that Alex is dying. In reality, it's just a bad fever that will pass over in a day and a half.

"Um, no. I've not been well enough to go buy some. Plus the parents are out all week." Alex sniffed, the horrible noise his nose made, made him cringe. Jack's tooth let go off his bottom lip, a sting being replaced as a satisfying mark was left. He looked down at the brown haired boy, sympathy draining from his heart.

"How long have you been ill for?" He hoped it wasn't more than a day, otherwise he'd start to panic and rush Alex to the hospital, saying something about that the boy had caught a 'deadly' disease. This often annoyed Alex, because he knew there wasn't anything to worry about, and wished that Jack could see that. But he had learned to cope with Jack's overly paranoid mind.

"It actually started today when I woke up." He sighed, trailing his fingers on Jack's chest. Jack sighed, softly running his fingers through Alex's hair.

"Well, you need to get up, because I, have medicine to buy." Jack arched his back, trying to shove the boy off him in the nicest way possible. Alex started going into a coughing fit as he laid on his back beside Jack, making Jack feel guilty as he got off the bed.

"I'm sorry, I just want to make you better." Jack looked down at his fingers, feeling ashamed that he had moved Alex off him. Seriously, the boy felt guilty and paranoid over everything, blaming himself all the time.

"I-I'm okay. Just hurry up and go, because when I look at you, you make me wanna puke." Alex giggled quietly, his hands shielding his eyes. Jack smiled, leaning down to peck Alex on the lips, mumbling an "okay", before exiting his room and the house.

Half am hour later, Jack finally got back, singing a tune quietly as he made his way upstairs. He could hear a sneeze, and sighed.

"'ello." He smiled cutely, making his way over to Alex with a bag in his hands. Alex mumbled a "hey" in his unusual deep voice.

"So, I forgot to ask what's wrong, so I brought the whole shop. Poor shopkeeper must of thought I was a drug addict." Jack let out a fake sad sigh, dropping the bag next to Alex.

"If the shopkeeper thought you was a drug addict, I'm quite sure he wouldn't've let you have all that medicine." Alex rolled his eyes, moving himself so he was laid sideways.

"Shut up, and let's make you better!" Jack grinned excitedly, stuffing his hands into the plastic bag.

"Jack, this won't work you know?"

"What are you on about? We're already dating." Jack smirked, acting dumb.

"I'm on about the - I give up with you sometimes." Alex sighed, laying back on his back. Jack just shrugged, pulling out the first of many containers.

"Ooh, open your mouth." Jack said excitedly, basically bouncing up and down on the bed as he opened the first bottle.

"That's what-"

"He said, I know." Jack rolled his eyes playfully, pouring the medicine on the spoon. He swooped the spoon in the air, acting as if it was an aeroplane.

"Here comes the plane...and it's gone." Jack chuckled as he pulled the spoon out Alex's mouth.

"What even was that?"

"Medicine for sick bellies." Jack informed. Okay, so Jack was doing good so far.

"Sit up Lex, I need to give you a massage." Jack grinned, clasping his hands together.

"What the fuck, Jack? No you don't."

"I think I do."

"I think you don't."

"Do."

"Jack, shut up, no you don't." Alex crossed his arms over his chest, getting irritated.

"Do, do, do, do, do, do, dildo," Jack laughed, sighing when Alex didn't. "come on, please?"

"No." Alex glared at Jack, putting an end to the conversation.

"Fine. Um, well, we've tried all the medicine. Um..." He thought of something to make Alex better.

"How about leaving me alone until I'm better?" Alex said with an annoyed tone, obviously getting irritated with Jack. He was just trying help, but, he was making it worse.

"Or, how about... fuck, I don't know." Jack sighed, feeling upset that he couldn't even help his boyfriend get better.

"I just...wanna make you better, y'know." Jack looked down at his hands, beginning to play with his fingers. Alex looked up at Jack, noticing the boy was feeling down, making him sigh.

"Jack, you are making me better." Alex lied, smiling with his teeth. Jack looked over to him, battering his eyelids.

"Really?" He asked softly, biting down on his lip.

"No...but it's the thought that counts. Honestly, it's sweet." Alex smiled at Jack, giving him a reassuring nudge to the arm, making him giggle.

"Okay." Jack replied. They sat watching a movie for a while, and Jack spoke up.

"Are you feeling better now?"

"Not really."

"You must be hungry! I'll make Chicken soup!" Jack exclaimed, jumping up, only for Alex to pull him back down.

"I'm not hungry." Alex sighed, letting go off Jack's arm.

"Oh! What about rice? That's not filling." Jack suggested, a wild smile on his face. Just the simplest thought of getting Alex better was making him happy.

"No." Alex sighed, letting out a cough.

"How about more medicine? Ooh, I know, we needs to get you warm!" Jack skipped over to the bedroom door and left. He went to turn the heating on, grabbing some spare blankets from the airing cupboard and trotting over to Alex.

He threw the blankets over him, making Alex let out a groan of annoyance. Jack grabbed some paper and a pen.

"Let's draw and make stuff!"

"Not gonna help."

"Let's play doctor and patient."

"Too ill to be sexual."

"Aleeex, I'm trying to help." Jack whined, dropping the paper on him by purpose.

"I know, but none of these will help. It'll be gone tomorrow."

"Oh God, Alex, you're boiling! I thought a cold meant you're cold. Does this mean you're better?" Jack asked excitedly, smiling widely.

"Are you being serious right now? No Jack, it doesn't."

"Well-"

"Wait Jack, you're right! I'm better." Alex lied, gasping, making an "ahem" noise to cover up the cough.

"You are?" Jack gasped, sitting on top of Alex's belly. Alex tried not to be sick as he nodded.

"Yeah, you made me better, Jack. It worked. Thank you." Alex smiled, pushing Jack off him carefully and cuddled him.

Jack's smile grew big, relieved and proud that he had made his boyfriend better.

"I love you, Alex. I'm so happy I made you better." Jack kissed Alex on the lips. Alex felt a tiny bit of guilt, but knowing he made Jack happy made him happy, even though Alex had lied to give Jack that happiness. At least he could tell him tomorrow. Alex did appreciate Jack's efforts to make him better, and it gave him a warm feeling knowing he had a boyfriend that cared so much. And even though he didn't make his sickness better, it made him feel better.

"I love you too."

Notes

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I felt like it wasn't good enough. Plus I'm basically Jack: I don't know anything about being ill and how to make it better *shrugs* I just stay in bed.
I'd like to thank I'veGotRedHair for the suggestion! (I apologise I wrote this one shot so badly. ;~;)
I hope you enjoyed anyway.

Any suggestions? Just simply leave a comment or message me.
