Chapter 6
Alex's P.o.V
I was really worried about Jack. He hadn't answered any of my calls or texts. My phone buzzed, making me jump. 'Please be Jack, please be Jack' I kept thinking. It was. I sighed in relief.
Jack- Alex, I'm fine, I was just dealing with some things.
Alex- Are you sure?
Jack- Yes, and it would be nice if you could give me the jacket tomorrow, thank you (:
Alex- Okay, see you tomorrow
Jack-Night, lex (:
Alex- Lex? Night jack. (:
Jack- Yes, Lex. Problem?
Alex- No. I Like it c: Night jack
Jack- Night
I was slightly more relaxed than I had been, but I got the feeling something happened. I think his dad...Oh shit. Why didn't I think of this before? I leaped of my bed, glad that I was still fully clothed. I created a nest of pillows and blankets and ran through my door, and downstairs, continuing out of the front door of my house. I had a really good app for some reason that let me track phones to where they were. I pressed and held Jack's number until the options menu for that number came up.

I clicked on Trace number and it came up on google maps. Once I knew where it was, I had it memorized. I ran through the dark streets until I arrived at his back garden gate. I saw a Blink-182 poster through the window and instantly knew it was Jack's room. I searched on the pavement until I found a pebble, to which I continued to throw at his window. Tack. It made a noise I could hear, so I'm sure Jack could too. When he didn't come to his window, I saw the drain leading up next to his window. So I started climbing it, and when I got to his window, sat on the ledge. I looked in to see a wrecked body of Jack, lying on his bed, with a tear-stained face, and he looked to be asleep. I tapped on the window, and he shifted a bit. I tapped it again. This time, he abruptly sat up and looked around his room. taking my chance, I tapped the window again. He whipped his head to the window, saw me, and his eyes widened. He ran over to the window and opened it. "What are you doing here? My dad'll kill me if he find you here!" He whispered. "Get dressed." I told him plainly, even though he was pretty much fully dressed, but he would need a hoodie and a beanie. It was freezing out here. "Why?" He asked. "Because you're sleeping at my house." I said, and then whispered "Look at you..." There was blood stained onto his shirt. He would need to change. And a bit on his jeans, his hair messy and out of place, he looked tired, and there was new bruises. Everywhere. "Oh god..." I said, too low for him to hear, but he could see my mouth moving. A tear ran it's path down his cheek, and I wiped it away. He nodded, grabbing a change of clothes for the next morning, and he changed into new ones himself. "Uh...Lex?" He asked. "Mmhm?" "Can I wash these at yours? He never washes the clothes..." I noted that Jack had said 'he' and not 'dad', but I understood why. Why would anyone want to call someone their dad when he does this to them? "Sure." I said. He nodded in thanks, grabbed his stuff, shoved it in a bag, and came to the windowsill, sitting next to me on it. I could tell he was a little scared, so I put his bag on my back and picked him up, one arm around his chest and neck another under his knees, bridal style. It didn't feel awkward, cause we were friends. I then jumped down from the windowsill after closing his window. He was so tired that he fell asleep in my arms, so I ran home with him still sleeping and put him in the giant nest of pillows I made him before I went to his house to get him.
