We were just making it back home from the hospital at almost ten pm. I was so tired and annoyed at the fact that I had to go to school tomorrow. Papa had to get nine stitches in his arm thanks to Uncle Austin. He didn't seem too bothered by it, but Daddy was still pissed. He said he was going to punch Uncle Austin for every stitch Papa needed. I don't think he meant it though; he knows that violence won't solve this issue.

As soon as we walked through the door I went straight to my room so I could take a shower and get ready for bed. Usually I would stay up later watching TV or mess around on my phone, but since I was still grounded I couldn't do either of those options. I could have stayed up with my parents and got away with watching TV with them but of course I was still holding a grudge.

When I got out of the shower and put on my pajamas I noticed something on top of my bed. I walked over to it saw that it was my phone next to my car keys. Daddy must have brought them in here while I was in the shower. I guess that meant I was ungrounded. I suddenly wasn’t as angry with them as I was before I got in the shower.

I quickly turned on my phone and plugged it into the charger yelling at it to turn on faster. When it finally came on all the notifications started to pour in from me and my friends’ group message. The messages were two days old at this point.

I ordered Pizza for everyone but you guys should still all bring snacks since we're all fatasses. Izzy said she’s would bring drinks yesterday so don't worry about that.

I laughed at how stupid they all were and quickly typed a message to them.

No I was not dead but I might as well have been. I got grounded for the weekend. Sorry guys!

They all responded saying it was okay or that they hoped whatever I got in trouble for was worth it. That made me think of the actual reason I got grounded and opened a new message to send to Vic.

I fell asleep almost immediately after texting Vic, promising myself I would apologize to Daddy and Papa in the morning for everything.

After waking up and getting ready for school, I went downstairs to find my parents. Of course they were in the kitchen eating breakfast. I went to the table and sat down next to Papa and across from Daddy. I didn't have time to eat breakfast but I did have time to apologize for being somewhat of a brat.

"I owe you both an apology." I started off. They both looked at me telling me to continue. "I'm sorry for the way I freaked out on you two. I was just so angry because I really liked Vic and I had the whole date planned in my head and it really hurt me to hear both of you tell me no after all the excitement I had building up inside of me. I understand that you are my parents and you're 'just trying to do what's best for me' but I just feel like you both were being overprotective. But I'm sorry for the way I talked to you I totally overreacted."

"It’s okay Princess, I'm sorry that you felt that way. But I promise everything we do is to benefit you not hurt you." Papa said.

"Yeah we would never say or do anything to hurt you on purpose." Daddy added and I nodded understandingly.

"So I'm not grounded anymore?" I asked just to be sure and they both laughed.

"No you're not grounded anymore." Daddy confirmed.

"Awesome! So . . . can I go hang out with Lynn this Saturday night?"
