I was bundled in blankets watching an Adventure Time marathon with Jack. He tried to make me as comfortable as possible since I wouldn’t be moving for a while. I had to take the next two days off from work so I could get better. Since I started taking my medicine and started drinking some kind of weird tea my father brought over I hadn’t been coughing as much.

Rian texted me in the middle of an episode and I waited until a commercial break before I texted him back.

To Alex:
Hey we just got a letter in the mail reminding us our lease it up in three months. What do you want to do?

To Rian:
Fuck I forgot about that. I’m not sure though. I thought that you and Cass would want to get your own place since you guys are getting pretty serious.

To Alex:
Yeah I kind of want us to get our own place, but I don’t want to leave you alone.

I smiled at my phone at how nice Rian could be. What kind of friend would I be if I ruined his chance of getting closer to the love of his life?

To Rian:
Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine.

To Alex:
Thanks Alex! Maybe you can talk to Jack about moving in together ;)

To Rian:
Noooo that’s awkward. It’s too soon.

To Alex:
How long have you guys been together?

“Having fun texting your new boyfriend?” Jack asked me before I could text Rian back.

“Oh god I’m just texting Rian. Calm down.” I laughed.

“Yeah it better just be Rian or I’ll find me a new lover.” He pouted.

“Why don’t you just text Zack since he wants you so badly.” I joked.

“Will you EVER let that go?!?"

“Maybe in five years.” I picked up my phone so I could text Rian back while Jack rolled his eyes at me.

To Rian:
We’ve been together since the end of August last year. So basically nine months give or take a few days.

To Alex:
And by the time our lease is up, in 3 months, you guys would have been together for one year! What’s a better one year anniversary gift than moving in with your significant other?

To Rian:
I’m scared. What if he says no?

To Alex:
At least you can say you tried right?

To Rian:
I guess. Okay I’m going to try and sneak it into a conversation and see what he says.

To Alex:
Good luck! Cass says good luck too!

I sat my phone to the side and tried to think of the right moment to say something to Jack.

“I’m over here so much I should start paying you rent.” I said randomly during another commercial break.

“Maybe not rent, since I already paid for the house, but you can pay the light bill.” he stated while idly playing with my hair.

“You paid for the house…like cash upfront?” I asked shocked.

“My bankers took care of it for me.” He shrugged.

“You don’t worry about them stealing from you?”

“Mmm No not really.” he shook his head.

“Oh. Well how much is the light bill?” I continued.

“Alex…Why are you asking?” he knew I was up to something since I can’t be sneaky for shit.

“I was just thinking. My lease it up in three months and I’m here more than I am at my apartment and Cass and Rian might want to move into their own place once our lease is up...” I took a deep breath because I was talking too fast.

“So you have nowhere to go afterwards?” he asked.

“No. I guess I’ll live on a park bench somewhere.” I tried to give him my best puppy dog eyes, but he just laughed.

“I’ll buy you a blanket so you won’t be cold.” he laughed.

“I don’t like you.” I mumbled.

“Alex if you’re asking to move in with me then of course the answer is yes!” he smiled at me.

“Really?! It would be just for a little while. Just until I find another place.” I didn’t want him to feel obligated.

“I mean you can stay for as long as you want, babe.” He said.

“I don’t want to bother you. And what if we get into a big argument and break up. Then we’ll have to go through the awkward phase of me moving out, and us never talking again.” I rambled.

“I don’t see us breaking up anytime soon or ever actually.” He sat up and stop playing with my hair.

“So you’d be one-hundred percent okay with me moving in with you three months from now?”

“Yep! And it’ll be around our one year anniversary!” he gushed.

“I love you so much!” I kissed him.

“I love you too, but I love this episode of Adventure Time more.” He laughed and faced the TV while I texted Rian to tell him and Cass the good news.

“Alex, your phone is ringing!” Jack shouted from his living room. I was just stepping out of the shower so I wrapped a towel around my waist and went to answer it. Jack’s eyes were on me the whole time I walked into the living room.

“Hey Oli” I smirk at Jack and danced around to mess with him.

“Alex! How are you?...I don’t really care. What are you and Jack doing this weekend?” he asked.

“I’m doing great, asshole. And I don’t think we’re doing anything. Why?” Jack walked up to me and pushed me onto the couch on my back. He started kissing down my neck, distracting me from my conversation with Oli.

“I’ve been craving barbeque lately so I was thinking we could fire up the grill this Saturday.” He replied. I moved the phone away from my face before I answered him so he wouldn’t hear the moan I let out when Jack licked down my stomach.

“That sounds sooooo good.” I whimpered as Jack removed my towel and started kissing my thighs, teasing me.

“Uh are you okay?” Oli questioned. I heard Jack chuckle and before I could scold him, he licked the tip of my cock.

“Mmmhmm.” That was all I could make out as Jack took more of me into his mouth.

“Ooohkay? Well I was wondering if we could do it at your apartment since Hannah is inviting some of her girlfriends over here on Saturday. It can be like a guy’s night thingy.” He explained.

“I just…have to…mmm…ask Rian and Cass first.” The volume on my phone must have been louder than normal because Jack could hear Oli and I’s conversation.

“You guys can use my place. I don’t mind.” Jack stop for a second to tell me. I mouthed thank you to him and he nodded and continued sucking me off.

“Jack said… he doesn’t mind if we use his place.” I looked down at Jack who was staring at me as he took me all the way down his throat.

“That’s even better since he has a freaking mansion.” He joked and I tried my best to laugh with him, but instead I moaned.

“Dude it sounds like you’re in pain.” It was hard for me to focus anymore with Jack swallowing around me. I was about two seconds from coming. I tried pulling at Jack’s hair so he would get the hint, but he kept going.

“No!” I gasped, not really helping my case. “I’ve been sick lately and…it’s making me FUCKFUCKFUCK!!!” I groaned when I came into Jack’s mouth.

“Ummmmm… what?” Oli asked slowly. I would have felt so bad for putting him through this, but I was in complete bliss.

“I…h-have to call you back…later, Oli.” I uttered and hung up before he could say anything to stop me.

“That was fun right!” Jack smirked at me as he left me on the couch and went into the kitchen. I was too tired to say anything back to him. Instead I slowly closed my eyes and let myself fall asleep.

I smelled food when I woke up an hour later. I got up from the couch and walk into the kitchen to see Jack stir something in a pot.

“What are you making? It smells delicious.” He jumped at the sound of my voice.

“Don’t scare me like that!” He hit my shoulder when I walked to see what was in the pots. There was tomato sauce in the pot Jack was stirring and Spaghetti noodles in another pot. I didn’t know I was hungry until I saw the food he was making.

“This looks great! When can I eat?” I asked him.

“Give it about fifteen more minutes.” He hip checked me because I was blocking the oven and he needed to take bread out of it.

“Ugh okay.” I sat at the table and played on my phone until Jack sat a plate of food in front of me.
“Thanks, babe! You didn’t have to make my plate for me though.” I told him.

“Well I called your name twice, but you were too focused on Flappy Bird to hear me.” He chuckled.

“Sorry I was trying to beat my high score.” I said right before I started stuffing my mouth with spaghetti.

“Give it a rest.” He sighed. He was just jealous I made it to sixty-three and he couldn’t make it past twelve.

“Will you cook like this for me every night when I move in?” I asked him fanning my mouth because the food was scorching hot.

“Ha you wish!”

“Do you want me to starve?” I exaggerated.

“You know how to cook. Remember the great meal you made me on Valentine’s Day?” He pointed out.

“Yeah yeah I know.” I mumbled.

“We can take turns cooking?”

“I like that idea and we can see who’s better at it.”

“Why is everything a competition with you?” he laughed.

“It makes everything fun.”

“No it does not.” He rolled his eyes at me.

“Oh! I think a family brought the house for sale across the street. I saw them bringing boxes over earlier.” I remembered.

“New neighbors yay! Maybe it’s another one of your ex’s who will give me dirty looks every time I walk outside.” He said sarcastically.

“Nooo! it’s a nice Hispanic family. They have two sons, one looks like an one years old and the other looks like a toddler maybe three?” I told him.

“Aww that’s cute. I can’t wait to meet them.”

“Hopefully we won’t hear them crying all night long.” I complained. Don’t get me wrong I kind of liked kids but I hated to hear them cry and whine, it’s so annoying.

“Alex, they’re babies not dogs.” He scoffed.

“Eh tomato, tom-ah-toe.” I shrugged my shoulders.

“Stop!” he hit me on the arm. “We should go say hi! Are they still there?”

“Let me go look.” I got up and went to go look out the facing the front of the house. “Yeah they’re over there still.”

“Let’s go meet them!” He said while leaving our plates on the table.

“I don’t know they look pretty busy. And what if they’re homophobic or something?” I asked. I’ll never understand why Jack liked to meet new people maybe I’m just too antisocial to get it.

“I just want to say hi and they’ll be living across the street from a gay couple, they can get over it.” He got up and walked towards the front door. I followed behind him letting him take the lead. Hopefully we didn’t scare them because it was starting to get dark outside.

“Hello! My name is Jack and this is my partner Alex. We live right across the street from you and wanted to come and welcome you to the neighborhood!” Jack said once we reached the Father. He smiled and extended his hand and the guy gladly shook it.

“It’s nice to meet you both. I’m Emilio! Come in let me introduce you to my family!” he led the way to his front door. Emilio was shorter than Jack and I. He looked like he couldn’t be older than thirty.

“Vicki come say hello to our new neighbors” Emilio yelled when we walked through the door. They’re house was as big as Jack’s house, just a different model.

“Hello I’m Victoria, but you can call me Vicki!” She introduced herself. She had short blonde hair and was probably around the age of thirty also. Jack and I introduced ourselves and Jack told them more about the neighborhood.

“This neighbor sounds great. We moved from another area here in San Diego because we didn’t feel safe there anymore.” Vicki told us. Before either of us can say anything back to her, a little boy ran down the stairs trying to get Vicki’s attention.

“Mommy!! Please ice cream now?” The oldest one of her sons asked when he reached Vicki. He stop and stared at Jack and me once he saw us.

“Mike say hello to Mr. Jack and Mr. Alex.” She told him. He didn’t say anything to us, instead he gave us a shy wave and hid behind his father’s leg.

“Aw he’s so cute!” Jack waved back to him. I saw the sparkle in his eyes when he looked at Mike, he wanted kids really badly. Jack jumped as their younger son grabbed onto his leg for balance.

“I’m so sorry he just started walking a few weeks ago.” She apologized to Jack. “Victor it’s not nice to grab other people.” Vicki scolded the infant, but he just giggled. I laughed at how silly he was and Jack bent down to pick him up.

“Watch out, he’s a biter.” Emilio warned us with Mike still hiding behind his legs.

“Hi! It’s nice to meet you Victor!” Jack said using that creepy voice everyone used when they were talking to children.

“Say: it’s nice to meet you too, Mr. Jack. And I prefer to go by Vic. My mommy just calls me Victor when I’m bad.” Vicki told Vic, as if he could understand her. Vic laughed and tried to talk to Jack, but none of his words made sense.

“Mama” Vic yelled and reached his arms out to Vicki. She took him from Jack’s arms and coddled him.

“What do you guys do for a living?” Emilio asked us.

“I’m an English teacher for high school students.” I answered.

“And I’m the owner of a clothing line.” Jack said. “What about you two?”

“I’m the CEO of Petroleum Engineering company.” Emilio said.

“And I’m a stay at home mom.” Vicki said while trying to rock Vic to sleep. “Taking care of these two is a full time job.” She said and we laughed.

“Well I think we over stayed out welcome.” Jack said and they both nodded understandingly.

“If you two need help with anything don’t hesitate to ask.” I added.

“Thank you so much! It was nice to meet both of you.” Emilio shook Jack and I’s hands. We told the family bye and walked back across the street to Jack’s house.

“They were a nice family.” I thought out loud as I washed the dishes we ate on.

“Yeah and their sons were precious!” Jack raved as he dried the dishes. He sighed and looked down at the plate in his hand.

“One day, Jack. I promise.”
