I didn't think I would be even sorer today than I was yesterday, but I was. I couldn't do anything that required moving too fast. I walked from Jack and I's room to the living room. Jack was sitting on the couch with Bass and smiled at me when he saw me.

"How do you feel?" He asked as I slowly eased down in my seat next to him.

I glared as I answered him because the ridiculous way I had to sit should have gave him his answer. "I feel like someone took a knife and just shove it up my-"

"-Alex, Bass is right here." Jack cut me off.

"Like he knows what an 'asshole' is." I said.

"Yeah I'm looking at one." Jack joked and I laughed.

"Give me my grandson." I said and he handed him over. Seeing Bass's happy face kind of helped me forget about the pain for now.

"He's being extra giggly today. He wouldn't stop laughing when I changed his diaper." Jack said and I smiled.

"For once you're not screaming your head off." I told Bass in a happy voice and he giggled. "I think this is the happiest I've ever seen him." I told Jack.

"Yeah babies usually don't smile much until four months old so maybe that's why." He shrugged.

I continued to play with Bass and make him laugh until my phone started ringing. I tried to hand him back to Jack but he started whining. I held him and answered the phone at the same time.

"Hey Alex are you doing anything right now?" Oli asked once I answered.

"No why what's up?"

"I need help changing the filters in our house. Hannah is too sick to do anything." He said.

"Oh yeah I can help."

"Cool, I'll see you when you get here." He said and we hung up.

"Who was that?" Jack asked.

"Oli. I have to go help change the air filters in his house." I told Jack.

"Are you sure you'll be able to?" He asked and I remembered I couldn't move around so much cause of the soreness.

"Ugh I didn't think about that. Maybe I can just hold the ladder and hand him stuff." I said and he nodded. "Alright Bass I gotta go, I'll see you later man." I said and tried to hand him to Jack. He immediately started whining again and holding on to me tighter.

"Just take him with you. I'm sure he'll love getting out of the house for a little bit." Jack said.

"Alright if you say so." I said and kissed him. I slowly got up and went to throw on some actual clothes.

Once I was finished I told Jack bye and went out to my car. I placed Bass in his car seat and drove us to Oli and Hannah's house. Oli opened the door for us and smiled when he saw Bass. He took him away from me and Bass frowned up.

"Why do you look so grumpy? Smile! I wanna see your gums." Oli cooed to Bass.

"He's been clinging to me for some reason. He doesn't want anyone else to hold him." I said.

"Oh that's why you looked so pissed off." He chuckled and Bass started crying. "Okay okay I'll give you back." He handed Bass back to me. Bass stopped crying and cuddled back into my arms.

"He's just a big cry baby." I said and Oli agreed.

"So I just need you to like steady the ladder and hand me the filters when I need them." He told me.

"Oh perfect." I was relieved, that meant I didn't have to do much. Plus I could still hold on to Bass as I did this so he wouldn't cry.

"Alright let's start on the first one in the living room."

I followed Oli to the living room where the first vent was. I could still feel pain shoot up my back side and Oli seemed to notice I was walking funny.

"Dude are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah why wouldn't I be?" I said causally.

"You're like limping. Are you hurt?"

"Mm mm no I'm find." I said giving a reassuring smile. He nodded and climbed the ladder to change the first filter.

"Did I tell you we had dinner with Austin and Tay last night?" He said, changing the subject.

"No you didn't tell me that. How'd it go?"

"Fine, they talked about how bad they felt about dating because they thought you would stop talking to Aus."

"That's ridiculous, I'm not a monster." I scoffed.

"Well you did punch Austin in the face..." He trailed off and chuckled.

"Okay that was different. He deserved that for what he did. I honestly don't mind them dating any more. At first I thought it was weird, but I'm over it now."

"You should probably go talk to him so he won't think things are becoming weird between you two."

He was right, I didn't want Austin to think I was avoiding him or anything. "Yeah I'll probably stop by to talk to him after we leave here."

Oli climbed down the ladder and we moved to where the next vent was, in the guest room hallway. Oli made it there before me because I was still walking slowly. Even if I wanted to walk faster to make him less suspicious the grunts from pain would give me away. I honestly don't know how Jack did this for so long.

"Alright no more bs. What's going on with you?" He asked as he climbed the ladder.

"I already told you I was fine."

"Yeah but the way you're walking begs to differ. It's like that time you broke your arm when we were younger and you didn't want to admit it, but your arm started swelling and you couldn't hide it anymore."

"I hate that we've been friends for so long." I joked and he chuckled.

"Come on tell me, what were you like fucked in the ass or something?" He jokingly asked and I sighed angry that he guessed right. It ended up giving me away though. Oli stopped doing what he was doing and looked down at me. "You were really fucked in the ass?" He whispered. He sounded more shocked than anything.

"Oli I'm stabilizing this ladder and at any second I can push it over." I threatened.

"No that just caught me off guard. I was just joking I didn't think it was true."

"Yeah it's true. I forgot to get Jack an anniversary present so I thought that doing it with him would make up for it."

"Dude I can't even imagine what that must've felt like. All I can think of is pain mixed with more pain." He said.

"It did hurt like a bitch, but it was also not that bad. Like I still came and everything." I told him.

"Seriously?" He asked and I nodded. "I know we have like our G-spot or whatever back there but I can't. I haven't even gotten a prostate exam because I'm afraid of the Doctor sticking his finger up my ass. I honestly don't know how you got a whole dick up there." He said and grimaced.

"Slowly." I joked and he sighed. "You should try it one night-"

"-No." He cut me off and climbed down.

"No listen I used to be just like you. I thought I would never have anything shoved up my ass, but it was kind of amazing." I told him and he stared at me.

"I would rather get all my fingers chopped off and be forced to eat them then do anything like that." He said dramatically.

"You have no idea what you're missing." I teased. I sounded just like Jack when he was trying to convince me to try it.

"I'll gladly go the rest of my life missing out on that." He said, making me laugh.

"Alright your loss."

I left Oli's house and went to Rian and Cass's house. I called Austin and he told me he and Tay were over there. I wanted to clear the air between us in person so they would know I seriously wasn't mad at them.

I held Bass as I waited for Cass to open the door. She smiled and took Bass right from my arms when she finally did open it.

"Hi Munchkin!" Cass exclaimed. I thought Bass would have cried and tried to come back to me, but he laid his head on Cass's chest sleepily. "It's somebody's nap time. Yes it is." She said and began to rock him.

"Bass said he's going to need you to get some breast implants so he can have a decent pillow." I told Cass and she glared at me.

"You know I was talking to Tay earlier and she told me that Austin's dick is bigger than yours." She smirked at me and I grabbed my heart.

"You are literally Satan herself." I said and she chuckled. "Where is everyone?" I asked.

"Outside talking." She said and I thanked her.

I slowly walked out to backyard and saw Rian, Austin, and Tay sitting at the patio table. I went to sit next to Rian trying not to make this awkward. It didn't work though. Austin sat up and withdrew his arm from around Tay's shoulders.

"Uh hey Alex." Austin said while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Hey what are you guys talking about?" I asked.

"I was helping Aus and Tay pick out a nice place to go on vacation since they both have a few off days to burn." Rian said, trying to help me out a bit.

"Oh cool, are you guys planning on traveling outside the states?" I asked.

"Yeah, we were thinking of going to the Bahamas." Tay said.

"Oh that sounds fun."

There was an awkward silence for a few seconds and finally Austin spoke again.

"We can um change the subject...if you want." He said and I shook my head.

"No I came over to talk to you guys about this. I know it might seem like I would be weirded out over this, but I'm not. I mean I was at first but now I couldn't care less. All that matters is that you're both happy."

"Austin does make me pretty happy." Tay smiled at Austin and he grabbed her hand.

"Then I'm happy too." I told them sincerely.

We stayed talking for another hour and then Bass and I went home. I took Bass to his crib since he was still sleeping and then I went to sit with Jack on the couch. He was sleeping on the couch but the second I sat down he woke up.

"Hey you've been gone for a while." He said while yawning.

"Yeah when I left Oli's I went to Rian's to talk to Tay and Austin. Oli said Austin was worried I was avoiding him so I wanted to assure him I wasn’t." I told him.

"Oh how did that go?"

"Great! I let them know that their relationship wasn't bothering me and then we just talked like normal friends."

"Aw that's good!” He said and kissed me on the cheek. “I can tell you really matured over the years. The old you would have never let Austin live for dating your ex."

"Yeah I guess I have grown up a lot." I agreed.

"Well I wouldn't say a lot." He joked and playfully rolled my eyes.

"Babe, Cass said that Tay said Austin's dick is bigger than mine." I whined.

"I take it back, you have not grown at all."

"What? Why?"

"Because you shouldn't be concerned with the size of your friend's dick. Besides I'm sure Cass just said that to mess with you, Tay doesn't seem like the type to go around telling people that." He said and it sounded right.

"Next thing I know, you'll be leaving me for Austin." I jokingly pouted and he hit my side.

"Shut up I would never. I would never leave you for anyone."

"Yeah that's what you say now."

"Oh my- would it make you feel better if I told you that you were the biggest person I ever dated?" He asked.

"Am I really?" Hearing that made me smile.

"Yep!" He chuckled and kissed me. “Now can we be done with this conversation?”

“Yeah I’m done talking anyways.” I leaned over and started kissing down his neck. I laid down on top of him and he slapped his hands on my butt making me groan in pain.

“On second thought how about we just cuddle?”

This is probably the last filler chapter of the story and I wanted to use it so Alex could tie any loose ends with his friends. There are only two chapters left on this story! It actually makes me sad to think about because this story has been my life for the last three years, but it's kind of dragging on now so I need to end it. I hope you all enjoy these last few chapters!
