I was angrily stuffing clothes into my bag when I heard a soft knock on the door. "Come in," I said, throwing my bag into the closet. Bradley stepped in, and I sighed in relief and retrieved my bag to continue packing. "How'd you get in here?"
"Well, you see, it's a complex algorithm involving walking through many doors-" he stopped when he saw I wasn't smiling. "What's wrong?"
"Well, for starters, I'm not suposed to hang out with you, ever," Colt widened his eyes. "also, I am being forced to not listen to All Time Low."
"Um. What the fuck?"
"Right? My dad says those two things are what got me into this mess-" I stopped abruptly when I realized that Bradley didn't know about my self harming.
"What mess? Bridget? What mess? Tell me!"
I sighed. "Take a seat, Bradley." I told him about the self harming, leaving out the part that invloved him. When I finished, he just sat with a shocked look on his face. "Wow. But why would you have to stop hanging out with me?"
"Well...he believes that you're one of the reasons I self harmed, because you grew away from me when I needed you most."
"Oh my God. Bridget. I'm..." He trailed off as he came in to hug me; but I turned away, and with tears in my eyes I said, "Whatever. It's fine. Yeah. I'm calling Alex, and then I'm gone." I saw his face lose color, and I quickly said "No, not like that. I'm running away." His face was still downcast.
"And you're coming with me. Duh."
He grinned, just like old times. "Be back in five," he said, and promptly jumped out the window.
