Blaze's p.o.v
I woke up and it was still dark out I look over to my clock and see the flashing numbers read 4:23 a.m. I groaned slightly and sat up I reached for my water only to remember that it was in the kitchen so I got up putting my slippers on and heading down the stairs, I opened a cabinet and grabbed a cup filling it with ice and water taking a drink and setting it back on the counter I turned around to close the fridge when I saw Alex behind the door as he let out a yell I screamed but once we both settled down "jeez Alex you scared the crap out of me" he just chuckled "sorry" he said I looked down to his hand and saw a grey teddy bear "what were you going to do with that kill the intruder by cuddling with him" he looks up at me "you don't remember Albear?" I took a second look at the little grey bear and noticed the old worn body of this bear and when I saw only it's one eye a memory from when I was little came back to my head.

we were on a camping trip, it was the last day of our trip, I was about 4 and Alex was just about to turn 11, we decided to go play around in the forest so was decided to play tag Alex was chasing me as my brown hair bounced up and down I turned back and saw his bright smile as he was laughing with joy I turned around and saw a tree so as I changed my path to avoid the tree I ended up tripping over one of the branches and fell on my face and using my hand to catch me twisting my ankle on the way down "Blaze!" Alex's little voice boomed through the trees I sat up and looked at my hands then I felt my face looking at my hands again to see blood on them I felt tears brim at the corners of my eyes and I started to sob Alex ran over to me and sat down next to me "Blaze it'll be ok soon" he says bringing his hand up to my face whipping away some blood making me cry slightly harder he took a look at my leg stuck under the root and rolled my jean leg up and slowly pulled my foot out "I will take you back to mom and dad" he said picking me up and carrying me back to the camp site. mom and dad ended up taking me to the hospital and Alex was quiet the entire ride I grabbed his hand and he turned his head farther in the other direction so I let go and turned to look out the window when we got there I talked to a nice doctor who wrapped my ankle and told my parents I sprained it and put a band aid on my face, my parents followed the doctor to sign some papers leaving me with Alex "Al why won't you look at me?" I ask he lifted his head but remained slouched over "because all this is my fault I never wanted to hurt you, you're probably mad at me and I would be to" he says I hopped off the table and limped over to him "this is not your fault, it was just an accident, and besides you're my big brother I could never be mad at you" he showed a small smile and sat up a little higher and pulled a small grey bear out of his hoodie "I picked this up from the gift shop for you" he handed it to me and I felt it's soft fabric in-between my small fingers and I hugged Alex "thank you for Albear" I said Alex tilts his head "Albear?" he questioned I nod "yea I named him after you" I showed him a big smile and he just pulled me closer "I love you" he mumbled… "Alex do you have to go?" I asked as he loaded his bag in the back of a van "yes but don't worry I'll be back before you know it" he said brushing my purple hair out of my face Alex was now 15 and about to go to his first out of state show "wait just one second" I said running to my room and grabbing something and ran back out "Al I want you to take Albear" I said handing the soft bear to Alex he looked at the bear he ran his hand over the now missing eyeball "but he is yours I can't take him from you" he says I just hug onto his side "I want you to let Albear see the world he may mean a lot to me but he means more because you gave him to me" I said Alex smiles "alright Albear and I will be home soon" he said kissing the top of my head and I waved as they left with my dad and Zack's dad driving, later that night I slept in Alex's room I was to upset to eat or do anything I just stayed in his room until a week later I hadn't eaten I barley left the room when the door opened and the covers were ripped off by Alex "so mom said you haven't left my room" he says with a smile "ALEX!!!"

as the soft old bear now dangled from Alex's hand I watched those memories replay, I burst into tears and fell to the floor I couldn't remember the last time I saw Albear but I couldn't help but cry "woah Blaze what's wrong?" Alex came over to my side and sat down beside me "just like the camping trip huh" I said through my tears "what?" he said "just like the day I got Albear, you by my side asking if I'm ok" the memory must have come back to him because I could see the tears in his eyes "Alex I love you" his lips formed a small smile "you have no idea how much this means to me" he said handing over the bear for the first time in a long time I felt Albear in my arms and hugged Alex as tight as I could "welcome home" I said Alex picked me up and walked me to my room where he climbed in my bed and just turned on the tv plugging in a movie I was tired once again "to think all our relationship needed to be back was a little grey bear" I thought "to think if it wasn't for that little grey bear I don't know if we would be back to being this close but I'm glad it did" Alex said I smiled and slowly fell asleep into my brothers embrace
