You Had Me At Hello

"Rebecca. Get up, we have school" Zack threw a pillow at me to wake me up
"Noo" I groaned, stretching
"Yesss" he mimicked me. "Come on Rebecca, your first day of senior year in Baltimore" Zack said cheerily and tried to pull me out of my bed
"Fine. What time do we need to leave?" I asked him
"Emm...about eight. It's seven the now" he answered before leaving my room. I got up and chose what to wear. I went into the bathroom and had a quick shower before drying myself and changing into Jack's Blink-182 shirt and my grey skinnies.

"Jack's shirt?" Zack asked as we got into his car
"Maybe" I smiled and put his Sum 41 cd on
"I'm just yelling you this the now okay?" Zack started.
"What?" I was so confused
"Jack's ex, Hayley, will probably say something to you if she sees you two together. It won't be anything majorly bad but it will be something" he explained to me
"Oh" I said and we went the rest of the drive without speaking.

"Ready?" Jack smiled at me as we met up with everyone at the door
"I think so" I smiled nervously back at him
"You'll be fine" he said, leaning down and kissing me before linking our hands together. "Come on, let's get your schedule and combo" he smiled, resting his forehead against mine
"Okay" I smiled before quickly kissing his cheek. The rest of the guys had already walked to the music room they go to everyday. Zack told me they had basically claimed it as their own. We walked through the doors and to the office. "I'm new here" I said to the woman at the desk
"Hi sweetie. What's your name?" She smiled at me
"Rebecca Merrick" I smiled back at her. She handed me my schedule and locker combination
"I'm sure Mr Barakat here wouldn't mind escorting you for now" she smiled at Jack
"I certainly wouldn't" he joked, smiling back at the woman.
"Thank you" I said before we walked to find my locker. It was opposite Neil's Jack told me.
"Who's this, Jack?" A girl said, making Jack and I turn round and look me up and down
"Zack's sister. Why do you need to know?" Jack shot back
"Oh sorry. Just wanted to know who your new slag was" the girl smugly smiled. It must be Hayley
"Actually, I'm not a slag" I but in, smiling smugly back at her
"Was I speaking to you?" she growled
"No, but you were speaking about me. So, if that's all good bye" I sarcastically waved with my hand while Jack found the other and linked mine and his together. Hayley looked down at our hands and turned on her heels to walk away.
"I'm so sorry about her" Jack sighed as soon as she was away from us
"It's fine, Jack" I smiled at him. "Should we go find the guys?" I asked and he nodded, leading the way to the music room.

"Come on. Just come!" I heard Jeremy say as we got closer to the room.
"I don't know if I can. I have marking" a voice laughed.
"Fuck the marking!" Kevin laughed
"I don't think I can guys. I might be able to make it, I might not. I will try" the voice laughed again. Jack and I walked into the room. The guys were sitting on the many couches that filled the room instead of desks and normal school chairs. "And who is this young lady?" The teacher, I'm presuming, asked.
"Rebecca. My sister" Zack said for me
"Hi Rebecca, Zack's sister. I'm Mr Hastie but call me John" he smiled at me
"Hi" I said shyly, I was standing behind Jack and still held onto his hand. It was like I was a little kid again.
"What we talking about?" Jack asked the guys as he went to sit down. They started talking about a gig A Day To Remember were playing at the weekend.
"So, Rebecca. Tell me about yourself" Mr Hastie, sorry, John said.
"Well. I moved here from New Jersey. Emm...I play bass and sing a little and I'm Zack's younger sister" I shrugged. I didn't know what else to say
"You know the guys then?" He asked, nodding his head towards them
"Yeah" I smiled. "The last time I came to Baltimore is like five years ago and it was the first time I'd met them. They're pretty much the best people I know" I kept smiling as I said it
"And you've gotten close to Mr Barakat. I never thought I'd see the day" John laughed
"Uhh...yeah" I laughed and blushed.
"Good good. Now, you said you sang and played bass?" He said. I nodded. "Could you play or sing something?" He asked. The guys had stopped talking and were listening to John and I's conversation.
"Yeah! Can you? It's not fair only Jacks heard you sing" Gaskarth butted in
"Please? Just because you're dating him doesn't mean he should be the only one to hear you sing" Rian added
"Jesus. Fine" I sighed, but smiled. I picked up the closest guitar I seen and handed it to Jack. "You know Good Riddance?" I whispered into his hear. He nodded. "Play it please Jacky" I whispered again before kissing his cheek.
"Just sing a goddamn song!" Gaskarth laughed. Jack started playing and I sang. I closed my eyes while singing and when I was finished I opened them again. The guys faces were priceless
