The City Comes Alive When We're Together
Introduction
Well, before I tell you my story, I should probably introduce myself. My name is Megan and I'm about to be a senior in high school. I have medium brown hair with blondish tips as a result from dying my hair strange colors so frequently. I'm approximately five foot four, and have darkish caramel brown eyes. I also have glasses, and I'm not all that fond of it.
I'm quite pale, but not to the point where I can scare people from thinking I'm a vampire or demon or something supernatural of the sort. I'm not exactly girly, though I go through phases where I dress girly and have high confidence in myself and my esteem is the best it ever is. But 90% of the time, I have a very low self esteem and dress in the pop punk fashion and I'm always down on myself.
I'm from Baltimore, Maryland, born and raised. So, I've had no issues making friends and the whole bunch since I've thankfully never had to move away. I am attending Dulaney High School and the only thing I love about it is that it's literally so close to everything so my parents allow me to go anywhere I want to after school, because it all is so close to home. That's just about all you'll need to know.
It is my first day of school as a senior. While I'm really excited to be a senior and grow up and get out of here, I'm also really nervous and never want to leave. But, my only choice is to do what I have to. I wake up at 6:30 in the morning to get ready. Before I know it, 7:00 came up and my boyfriend, Michael, is at the door to pick me up.
Michael has reddish orange hair, what those would consider to be ginger. He's about six foot two from what I could guess, and has lovely grey eyes. He also goes by his last name Dhamers but spells it Doomerz. I walk out of my house and get into the passenger seat of his car. He drives us to school and as soon as we get there, he gives me a quick kiss and we decide to head to class. After a matter of minutes, I realize that I'm quickly adjusting to the idea of being a senior.
Months have passed and it is now the first weeks of April. Doomerz and I have been having some fights, some physical. Needless to say, my senior year hasn't been it's best lately. One day, he decides to dump me. When I ask for a reason, he tells me it's unecessary to know and doesn't think we should try and fix it. I'm more heartbroken than I think I've ever been before. I can't help but cry every night in my room.
While I'm in class one day, I can't help but text him. Unfortunately, he decides to ask what's wrong. I refuse to tell him what's up. He doesn't need to know yet. After enough arguing back and forth about it, I literally burst into tears and hit my breaking point. I go to the councelor's office to get dismissed, only to see she isn't there. So instead, I go to the nurse. I had to get out of here. Well, I got dismissed, but now I have to wait for my mom to get here.
