Zack’s POV
We had just played a great show and were now sitting in the front lounge of our van with our support act on this tour, Tonight Alive. They were pretty cool people and we always had fun hanging at our bus after the show with them. I was gonna miss this when we were to go home in two weeks. To be honest, I was probably the only one who wasn’t looking forward to the end of this tour, to going home. Since my ex-girlfriend Megan and I broke up 2 months ago I didn’t really have anyone to go home to. Of course I had my family and I would like to see Haley, Cassadee and Tay again, but as I didn’t have anyone special at the moment, I preferred being on tour with my friends over being at home on my own.

“What are you thinking about?” a voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I looked up to find Tonight Alive’s singer Jenna sat next to me.
“About going home, I guess” I answered.
“Looking forward to it?” she asked smiling.
“To be honest, not really” I replied.
Jenna raised her eyebrow. “Why’s that?”
“I guess I’m just afraid I’ll be lonely at home. The rest of the guys are all going home to their girlfriends and I’ll just be sitting at home alone, or at my parents house” I shrugged.
“But still, it’ll be nice to have a break for a moment, right? You know, sleep in your own bed. That must be better than these bunks!” she exclaimed.
“Okay, that’s true” I admitted laughing.
“There, you got a reason to go home!”

Jenna was always in such a good mood it was often contagious. She never seemed to be sad or in a bad mood and had an optimistic view on everything. I tended to be more of a pessimist, but being as optimistic as Jenna would have to make life that much easier.

“You’re really quiet” Jenna noticed.
I looked at her quizzically. “What? Like right now?”
“No, in general. You’re always off doing your own thing and when you are hanging with your band, you don’t say much either” she explained.

I wasn’t sure where she was going with this. Was I supposed to take this as an insult and defend myself?
“You say that like it’s a bad thing” I said quietly.
“I didn’t mean to” she said quickly. “It’s just… I don’t know… Interesting? You’re not the typical band guy who’s really loud and partying and drinking all the time.”
“I guess” I shrugged.

“It’s a shame you don’t talk more though. I wouldn’t mind getting to know you a little better” Jenna said winking, before she got up to talk to someone else, leaving me confused. Was she flirting with me or was I reading too much into this? After all, Jenna was rather easy-going and talked to anyone.

Jack sat down next to me. “So… I couldn’t help overhearing the conversation you and Jenna were having” he said.
“Really? Are you sure you couldn’t help it?” I asked, shaking my head.
“Okay, I might have tried very hard to overhear it. But not the point. She seems to like you dude” he said.
“Jenna likes everyone” I shrugged it off.
“See, this is why you don’t have a girlfriend. You don’t see the signs when a girl likes you” Jack said wisely.

“May I remind you of the fact that I just got out of a two year relationship?” I protested.
“Yeah, like four months ago” Jack sighed.
“Two, actually” I corrected him. "And may I also remind you of the fact your girlfriend had been in love with you for weeks before you realized it and even then it was because Haley accidentally told you? I'm just saying."
“Whatever. It's time for you to get back on the market. You said it yourself, you don’t want to be at home on your own.” Jack insisted. “Alex!”

Alex, who was just passing by, stopped and headed for me and Jack.
“Yes Jack?” he asked.
“Don’t you think Zack and Jenna would make a nice couple? I think we should set them up” Jack told him.
“Well, now that you mention it, Zack does need a girlfriend” Alex agreed.
“I know right!” Jack answered.

“Guys!” I exclaimed. “I’m sitting right here! We don’t even know if Jenna is single.”
“So you are interested?” Alex asked.
“I didn’t say that!” I exclaimed.
“Well, not with those words” Jack agreed with Alex. “I’m pretty sure she’s single but we could always ask her about it.”

“How do you know?” I asked.
“Well, she’s never calling any guys, for as far as I can tell from the conversations” Jack answered.
“What, are you spying on her?” I asked him.
“She is bi though, so she might have a girlfriend” Alex reminded Jack.
“Oh right, that’s true. In that case, we’re just gonna have to ask her” Jack said.

“She’s bi? How do you know?” I asked curiously.
“Because, Zack, we actually hang out with people instead of working out on our own all the time” Alex said. “I’m gonna ask Jenna right now!”
Before I could protest, Alex turned around and walked off.

Alex’s POV
“Jenna!” I exclaimed as I appeared by her side.
“Alex!” she exclaimed in reply.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” I asked immediately.
“I… Why do you care?” she asked suspiciously.
“No reason” I said quickly, causing her to frown.

“Why do you specifically ask if I have a girlfriend though? I could also have a boyfriend you know…” she said.
“Do you?” I asked.
“No, but…” she started.
“Exactly. So, girlfriend?” I asked.
“Fine. No, I don’t have a girlfriend” she finally answered.

“So, you’re single and ready to mingle?” I asked enthusiastically.
“I suppose, but why exactly are you so excited about that? You do remember you have a girlfriend right?” she asked.
I nodded, turned around without another word and walked back to Zack and Jack.
“You’re weird!” I heard Jenna yell behind me.

“She is single and ready to mingle” I told Jack and Zack. “Go for it!”
“Who says I want to go for it?” Zack asked.
“We do” I said, pulling him onto his feet.
“Alex, don’t” he muttered. “I don’t even know if I like her.”
“Well, then why don’t you go over there and find out” I sighed. “If you don’t like her, then that’s fine but at least you took a chance. It’s not like you have to get married if you talk to her. Live a little!”

“Yeah, what do you have to loose?” Jack asked.
“Well, my dignity, maybe” Zack replied sarcastically.
“I lost my dignity a long time ago and my life is great!” Jack exclaimed.
“Okay fine” Zack sighed. "But just so you'll shut up".
He finally walked over to Jenna, who was talking to Rian and her band mates and mixed himself in their conversation.
