Responsible

There are many responsibilities in this world. Bosses are responsible for their workers, parents for their children, children for their pets. To be responsible for something means that you have the duty to protect and care for something but you also hold a certain amount of power over whatever you are responsible for.

Alex Gaskarth knows all this. He has studied social theories, structures of society and ways to improve everything from the point of view of the Roman Catholic Church for the past 8 years. He is excited to work at the little church in Towson close to Baltimore now and he feels responsible for his little community.

Jack Barakat and Matt Flyzik are in a relationship, and normally, boyfriends should watch out for each other, their responsibility is to make sure the other one is doing well. Matt hasn’t been doing it well for ages now, the abuse has gotten worse over time; sometimes Jack isn’t sure whether Matt actually loves him.

Alex is responsible for his community, and Jack is one of the members. But what can Alex do to help Jack?
