And you thought it would be Easy

Every day one of the guys visits me. I don't know how they do it because the Tour still has a few dates going. But I don't ask, I am just so grateful for their presence.

Most of the time they just walk in and lie in bed with me and we talk for a couple of hours and then they have to leave. The nurses have given up on trying to get them to sit in the visitors chairs. They obviously are not used to dealing with lazy rock stars.
These are very intimate hours, I learn a lot about them, considering that apart from Tony I hadn't talked to the Mexicans a lot before.

I learn that Mike, despite his wild looks and behaviour is actually the pretty soft little bro that looks up to Vic.

I learn that Vic, although he is very sensitive and kind, is also very determined and knows exactly what he wants. He truly is a bandleader. And he gives the best advice.

I learn that Jaime who likes to play the clown actually is a very thoughtful and serious person and has a lot of talents and is very caring.

Austin comes visiting although he feels uncomfortable in hospitals which is understandable considering what he went through, he tells me about his operation and we talk about scars and injuries, not only physical ones and our health and my improvements like two old people in the doctors waiting room.

Tony is one of the people I enjoy visiting a lot. He is not that quiet when we are alone and we can talk about everything but some days we just lie there in each other's arms and relax. Often enough I fall asleep and wake up when he is long gone. He makes me feel so safe.

Alan is the most entertaining, he knows exactly that my life bores me to death at the moment and he has always crazy stories to tell and I just listen to him and laugh. Some days he brings his guitar and plays me songs he's working on at the moment and I sometimes get to help him with the lyrics or sing Aaron's part.

When I'm alone I draw a lot, filling pages and pages with sketches and ideas for future projects.

And of course there are the telephone calls with Alex. He would call me up at random times.
"Hello gorgeous, how are you?"

"Oh I'm fine, I lead this exciting life of the rich and famous, every day another city, shopping and partying, the usual. You know." I get pretty fed up with my situation by now.
"But there's some good news, I am out of bed finally and sitting in a wheel chair cause my legs are still not working right, but it's a start."

"That's great news darling!"

"What's the time on the East coast at the moment? And what are you up to?"

"Oh it's like 11pm and actually I am in bed right now."

"Wait a minute, let me ponder over this image a moment. Alex naked between the sheets. Mhhmmm. Yum!" I make a slurping noise.

" EASY! Stop fucking around with my emotions, I like you better when your numb."

"I wasn't numb, dumbass, I was lame!" I laugh. "Well I guess I still am but now I can walk again."

"That was the lamest joke ever" Alex teases.

"Well there wasn't a lot of fun in my life recently so I think I'm just a bit rusty." I excuse myself.

"Hey, Jack just walked in and says hi."

"What? Now I'm getting jealous, Jack is in your bedroom? Jack, get the fuck out there, just accept you can't give Alex what he wants."

"Whoa, you shouldn't have said that, now he starts grinding on me. Jack! Jack! Please stop!"I hear Alex muffled laughs.

"That's what she said" Jack and I say at the same time.

"Okay, guys that was creepy. Anyway Easy, got to go. Speak to you soon." Alex ends the conversation.
