I Feel Like Dancing
Alex POV:
I left Jack’s place around 4, which meant I only had 3 hours to get ready for our first date, so I hurried home. When I shot through my front door and up to my room, I remembered that I forgot to tell him what time I was picking him up. Nice going Alex…. I thought, sending him a text saying I would come pick him up at 7 then hurried to get ready. I had this all planned out in my head. I can’t wait.

I pulled up in front of Jack’s house 10 minutes early, but was shocked to see him already sitting out on his front porch. He looked freaking amazing, wearing a dark purple Jagk shirt, black skinny jeans, and grey converse. He shot me the smile that made my heart skip a beat as he climbed in.
“Did I make you wait?”
“Nope, I just sat down a couple minutes before you pulled up.”
I smiled at him and held my hand out for him to take. He quickly put his in mine and intertwined our fingers. I pulled out of his driveway and began to head towards our destination. The sun was just starting to set, and everything is going according to plan.
Jack POV:
I lied when I said I had only come out a couple minute before Alex pulled up, honestly I had been out there for about 20 minutes before he showed up, I was just way too excited to wait. As I held his hand I stared out the window and soon realized I had no idea where we were.
“Um… Alex?”
“Yeah Jay?”
“Where are we? Where are you taking us?”
“That’s a surprise! I can’t tell you, you’ll just need to wait and see!”
I sighed, I really didn't like surprises but Alex seemed excited so I would stick through it for him. Soon we pulled over, I glanced around, the sun had disappeared behind the hill we were parked under. What in the hell? Alex hopped out so I followed him. He popped the trunk and pulled out a picnic basket.
“A picnic?” Now I was starting to get excited.
“Yep! But just wait, I have something even better to show you!”
He took my hand and we climbed the hill and stood beside the tree that was on the top of it. I held my breath as I took in the view. The sunset was beautiful. There was a small lake on the other side of the hill and it almost looked like it was swallowing the sun. A beautiful array of pink, orange, red, dark blue, and black covered the sky above and around the setting sun. It was truly amazing.
“Wow…. Alex…. This is so beautiful.” I whispered.
He gently took my hand, I hadn't noticed he had let it go in the first place. I looked over and saw he had already set up the picnic. A black and grey plaid blanket was under two McDonald bags, two Pepsi bottles, and there was a small candle in the middle of it. I couldn't help but laugh.
“Nice choice of food Lex.” I grinned at him and he blushed.
“I didn't have that much time to make something…” He muttered and I laughed again, moving over to place a small kiss on his cheek.
“It’s amazing Alex, thank you. How did you find this place?”
“Whenever I’m mad I just kind of drive until it goes away, one night when I was driving I realized it got dark really fast here so I pulled over to see what was going on, I decided to climb this hill and… well I’m sure you can guess the rest. I come here a lot to take my mind off of things…. I haven’t shown it to anyone else yet.”
I felt butterflies flutter in my stomach and I couldn't help but blush. I was the only one he had shown this amazing place to. We sat down and ate, once we finished Alex took my hand, it had gotten really dark and there was a crescent moon tonight, so it didn't give off that much light.
“Watch this.” He said then blew out the candle.
One my eye adjusted to the sudden darkness that surrounded us I realized he was looking up and my eyes followed him. I gasped as I saw a perfect view of the night sky. It was littered with stars, so breathtaking I almost couldn't stand it. When I looked back at Alex he was staring at me.
“I love you Jack.” I felt shocked, I mean he hadn't even- My thoughts were interrupted with his next question.
“Will you please be my boyfriend?”
I stared into his eyes, they had a look of worry but they also held a lot of care. I slowly nodded and the look on his face turned from worry to a full on grin. He wrapped his arms around me and pressed his lips to mine. After a long, heated make-out session we pulled away to breath.
“My parents aren't home tonight…” He whispered, breathlessly.
“Then what are we doing here?” I whispered back and we both smiled.
Quickly, we packed up the picnic stuff, shoved it into the back of his car, and drove back towards his house, hand in hand. I was in love with Alex Gaskarth, my boyfriend.
