Thanks To You

Alex POV:

When I woke up the next morning I couldn't help but remember what happened last night, everything was going great until my parents had to ruin it. I looked over the edge of my bed and saw Jack. He looked so cute while he’s asleep… I quietly got up and went into my bathroom, hoping not to wake him up. That hope was crushed when I felt arms snake around my waist as I was brushing my teeth. Did I say crushed? I was a bit shocked at how he was acting, considering last night he said things were ‘going too fast.’

“Morning beautiful.” Jack said in a really sexy morning voice that I could listen to for the rest of my life.

“Morning Jacky.” I said after I spit out my mouth full of tooth paste. Attractive aren't I? I smiled as he rested his head on my shoulder. I could stay wrapped in his arms like this forever. That’s when I heard my bedroom door open. Jack jumped away from me like I had just burst into flames.

“Alex? Where are you honey?” She called, probably realizing both Jack and I weren't in there.

“In the bathroom mom.” I called back, soon she was standing in the doorway.

“Breakfast will be ready in about 5 minutes.” She said, giving us a warm smile before disappearing out my bedroom door. I sighed and moved around Jack to go over and close it behind her. I wish my parents would learn how to close the door behind them… When I looked back, Jack was sitting on the edge of my bed, looking like he was thinking really hard about something. He almost looked like he wanted to cry and it freaked me out.

“Jack?" I said carefully, moving to kneel in front of him.

Jack POV:

I’m sure this whole thing was going by just a bit too fast… When Alex’s parents came in last night to check on us I’m sure I had about 25 heart attacks. We had almost been caught! What would have happened? I was glad we didn’t, yet at the same time, disappointed because we couldn’t finish…. What was I thinking? I mean we hadn't even made it official yet, even though we had made out about a hundred times. What was I going to do? I didn't want to hurt Alex, but I was also getting nervous… I was pulled out of my thoughts when Alex shook me and called my name.

“W-what? Sorry I was spaced out.” I said, looking at anything but him. I knew he hated it when I did that but it was a hard habit to break.

“I noticed…” He said and grabbed my chin to make me look at him. His beautiful eyes looked worried. I wondered where my burst of confidence went from just a couple minutes ago when I was in the bathroom with him.

“A-Alex… I-”

“Boys! Breakfast!” Alex’s mom called from the stairs, he sighed, a bit annoyed, in responce.

“Alright mom, be right down!” He called back then looked at me. “We aren’t done talking about this… I want to know what’s up with you. You know you can talk to me about anything, right Jack?” He asked, looking a bit hurt.

I nodded and he sighed again before getting up and going downstairs. I followed him, just looking at the ground as we walked down and into his kitchen. The room was filled with the smell of eggs, pancakes, and bacon. What was I going to say to him? My mind wouldn't stop racing. I could barely keep up a conversation with Alex's mom. I was lucky his dad had to leave for work early that day. I couldn't help but notice the worried looks that were shot to me from both Alex and his mom.

Once breakfast was done and we had put our plates in the sink Alex turned back to him mom before walking out of the the kitchen.

"We are going back up to my room mom." He said to her, giving her a small smile.

"Okay, have fun boys. Don't be too loud! I going to work soon so don't make a mess unless you plan on cleaning it up!" She said back as Alex raced up towards his bedroom. I was following a little bit slower, not really excited for the conversation that was up ahead once we got into his room.

"Don't worry mom, we'll be good!" He called back before grabbing my arm and pulling me inside. He closed the door behind him then leaned up against it. After a couple minutes he took a deep breath then looked up at me, making my breath stop in my throat. Here it comes....
