"Alex you haven't gone mad. I'm here little brother"

Alex picked up his phone off the nightstand, it was about quarter to three, his mum wouldn't be home yet. Maybe he should just do this later. He paused a moment and knew he had to do it now. This is the perfect time to do it, his father wouldn't be there to tell her what to say and to hang up or not pick up the phone.
Alex dialed (410)-765-7539. After three rings Alex was getting nervous, maybe she didn't want to talk to him, maybe she really did hate him. Maybe she was the one that wanted him out of their life but didn't want to say so. She would've made dad do it.
"ALEX! Baby where are you? Hello? Earth To Alex? Son, where are you?"
"Mum, I've been at Jack's I'm sorry I haven't called, how've you been?"
"I've been fine darling. You know, Daniel's birthday is coming soon, would you like to come over and have supper that night? Jack is welcome to come. Your father is out of town. He went to Essex to see Auntie Jayne. He hasn't been around since the day after you left. I just figured that you didn't want to talk to me either. I miss you so much darling."
"I miss you too mum. I don't know, I'll put you down for a moment and go ask Jack if he would want to come over that day okay mum?"
"Alright baby. Hurry, I can't stay on the phone very long."
Alex put the phone down on the table and walked downstairs to get Jack. He was sitting on the couch watching some old television show.
"Hay Jacky, my mum wants to know if you want to come over for dinner on Daniels birthday on the fifteenth."
"I don't care Lexy, I just want you to be happy. If you want me to go, I will, if you don't want me to. I won't/"
"Dammit Jack Bassum Barakat. If we don't become a band, you should become a polition."
Alex walked upstairs and grabbed the phone and put it to his ear, "Mum are you still there?"
"Yes darling, what did Jack say?"
"He said if I wanted him to come he would, and if I didn't he wouldn't. So we'll see you then mum."
"Alright Alex, I love you. I'll see you next week I can't wait to see you."
"Me either mum. I love you too. Bye"
Alex clicked his phone off and ran back downstairs and jumped ontop of Jack and started watching TV with Jack. Alex was cuddled up next to Jack for the next few hours, Jack had fallen asleep about a half an hour ago. Alex was getting a little fed up with how much he missed Jack's touch. He nudged the taller boy in the shoulder and kissed him on the cheek.
"Jacky? You awake, I wanna go upstairs.."
"Alex lay off. I'm tired."
"Jack Bassum Barakat." Alex scolled and moved his boyfriends hand over the crotch of his jeans. "I wanna go upstairs."
