Dangerous

Chapter Twenty-Six: Fighting the Gravity

Tonight is too much for me
To get clean
Tomorrow's just a darkened hall
To an empty room
When I'm far away from you

When Alex woke up. It was because some heavy, but not too heavy, weight was on top of his body. He groaned, mumbling weird words before he opened his eyes. When he did, a little smile made its way to his lips.

Jack was laying on top of him (literally), his head resting just before the caramel's chest, one arm either side of his ribs. When Alex noticed where Jack's lower half was, he gulped. One of Jack's leg was between his, the other at the other side of his leg. Basically straddling him.

He took his eyes off Jack, looking over to the alarm. He had an hour before he had to get up and get dressed. He looked back down at Jack, getting a the same butterflies in his gut when Jack rubbed his nose against his t-shirt. He carefully moved his hands and started playing with Jack's hair while thinking about yesterday.

I had kissed Jack. He had kissed me. Twice. Alex still couldn't get over that fact. He could've sworn it felt right. Why else would there be butterflies and the urges to kiss him forever and hold him in his arms? He also remembered the personal information Jack had told him yesterday. The evil voice in his head. Is that even possible? The depression, self-harm and social anxiety. How did he get that way? His abusive dad. How bad are things at his home? He couldn't stop all the questions that came to his head. What drove Jack to come here last night? He desperately needed answers, but not wanting to pressure the other in telling him.

Alex stopped playing with Jack's hair, resting his hands over his chest and closing his eyes, sleeping for another hour.

~~~
When Jack finally woke, it was because of the alarm. He lifted his head up opening his eyes to be met with an Alex opening his eyes. He ducked his head, then finally realising he was on top of Alex, and that he left a patch of dribble on his t-shirt. He blushed, moving, but Alex stopped him.
"It's okay." Alex said before he left go of Jack's arms. Jack bit his lip, still getting off Alex anyway. He sat beside Alex, his legs hanging over the bed.
"Thanks for sharing your dribble." Alex chuckled, sitting up after noticing the patch of spit Jack had left. Jack blushed.
"Sorry, I-I didn't know." He admitted. He always fidgets while he sleeps.
"It's alright," Alex smiled, stretching.
"We unfortunately have school." Alex sighed, sitting beside Jack. Jack nodded, looking down. He wasn't looking forward to it. When has he ever looked forward to school? Alex got up, walking over to his draws.
"Do you want some clean clothes?" Alex asks, searching through his draws for some clothes.
"Y-yes, please." Came a little, quiet voice from Jack. Alex nodded, pulling out two t-shirts, opening and searching through the draw under. He grabbed two jeans.
"I hope you like Jimmy Eat World." Alex chuckled, walking over to Jack and placing the Jimmy Eat World top and jeans on his laps.
"Yeah, thank you." Jack thanked, grabbing the clothes on his legs and standing up.
"It's s'okay. The bathroom's around the corner. It has a weird dolphin sticker on it." Alex said, already beginning to take his jeans off, not really bothered if Jack's in the same room. Jack quickly hurried off out the door, turning the corner, looking up to find the bathroom was already open.
~~~

Jack soon returned back to Alex's room. He looked up a little, mentally thanking Alex that he wasn't getting changed. Not like Jack would've minded if he was, but it'll put him through a lot of awkwardness around the other. They've only spoke for about two weeks and things have moved so quickly. Jack's talking a little more confidently around Alex, spilling his personal stuff to Alex, kissing Alex. He couldn't help but wonder what's gonna happen in the future between the two.

"Hey," Alex said from where he was sat in front of his mirror. Jack smiled shyly back, finally walking into the room.

"You've been stood there for at least five minutes." Alex chuckled, pulling the straightner through his soft caramel hair. Jack mumbled a sorry, standing there awkwardly.

"Thinking?" Alex asks, dragging the hair straightner through his hair one last time and placing it on the cooler. He picked up his hairspray, waiting for an answer from Jack. When Jack was showing no signs of responding, Alex placed the hairspray down.

"You can come and use the striaghtner if you want. Here, you can sit here." Alex said calmly, moving over and creating space so Jack can sit in front of the mirror too.

Jack bit his lip, slowly walking over to the caramel haired boy. He sat cross-legged, and stared down at his hands. Alex was a little confused why Jack was being shy and quite all of a sudden. Yeah, he's always been quite, but he had spoke to Alex yesterday. Jack just doesn't feel like talking.

"You can use them if you want." Alex smiled, picking up the striaghtner, holding it out for Jack to take. Jack didn't take them, he hasn't even used striaghtners before.

"You don't want them?" Alex asks, frowning and a little confused.

"I,uh, I've never used them before." Jack blushed in embarrassment. Alex was shocked, but also felt bad for him.

Maybe he was never allowed to use them? Alex thought.

"I can show you how." Alex said without thought, turning himself around so he could face Jack. The darker haired boy blushed again, nodding and lifting his head up, a tiny smile making its way to his lips. Alex chuckled quietly, grabbing a small amount of Jack's fridge and carefully running the striaghtners through it. He could now see Jack's painted cheeks, a cute little smile on his face.

"All you do is run it through your hair. It's not too hard." Alex instructed, grabbing his brush and brushing Jack's hair. Every single second, Jack could feel himself getting hotter and his cheeks getting darker. Alex continued straightening Jack's hair, leaving one side for him to do.

"Okay, you try." Alex passed the striaghtners to him carefully. Jack grabbed the part that Alex was holding, getting butterflies when their hands brushed. The darker haired boy kept his head down as he went for the side that Alex hadn't straightened, passing the boiling striaghtner through it. He continued doing that until it was completed.

"Hey, Jack? Can you straighten this out for me?" Alex smirked, pointing down at his dick. Jack blushed again, ducking his head lower. Alex laughed at his joke, taking the striaghtners off Jack before he burns himself, placing it on the cooling mat and turning it off. Alex continued spraying his hair, Jack watching with his head tilted a little. Alex turned his head slowly around to Jack. Jack quickly looked down, even though he knew Alex had seen him.

"You're really cute. I'm sorry, I had to say that." Alex placed the hairspray down, feeling himself blush at his own comment. It was true though, he did find Jack extremely cute. Jack blushed for the hundredth time, ducking his head down in attempt to hid it. Alex stood up, walking over to his mini-coffee table and grabbing an energy drink. Jack decided to get up too, feeling fairly awkward on the floor by himself.

"Do you want an energy drink?" Alex asks, remembering that Jack had declined yesterday for any food or drink when he asked, so Alex thought Jack must be hungry and thirsty.

"Y-Yeah, please." Jack said quietly, feeling a little bit better about his hair. When he stretched his arms, he finally noticed he doesn't have a jumper on. He gasps, his arms holding on to his chest.

"You alright?" Alex asks after hearing the little gasp from Jack. He picked up two energy drink, turning around to see Jack lightly shaking. He instantly walks up to him.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asks, looking at the shaking boy in front of him.

"I-I, my jumper." He stuttered, sounding on the edge of tears. Alex placed the energy drinks on the floor, crouching so his head was at Jack's chest. He looked up at Jack as he stared back down.

"Listen here, while you're with me, you don't need to hide them, okay? I'm not going to judge you, or hate you for doing such a horrible thing to yourself. While you're here, I want you to forget your life at home. Forget about everything bad that has ever happened to you. I want you to be happy here, Jack, because you deserve it." Alex says, looking into his glossy eyes. He got up, walking over to his draw and grabbing one of his jumpers, walking back over to him.

"But I understand if you're not ready for that yet." He says quietly, holding out the jumper. Jack looks at it for a second, feeling a tear run down his eye. How could he be so nice to me? I'm a fuck up. He sniffed, grabbing the jumper slowly. Alex looked at Jack's arm as he grabbed the jumper, looking at the scars of his memories that were painted on to Jack's skin. They weren't a very nice picture.

"Come on, we better get going." Alex sighed, waiting for Jack to put on his hoodie. They walked out his room, out the house, making their way to the bus stop, both thinking, both wishing they never had to go to school, but they managed.

@Twat

oh Damn, sorry. Aldemar died because Jack had did what his father had done... Like, Jack had basically died for a moment, so Aldemar died and never came back when Jack did. I don't know if that makes sense. Maybe I should've included that.
